What is Artosis gonna talk about when we get to another stagnant meta game due to everything being figured out? Also is it not in your interest to hear pros and figures in the community opinions on whats happening in the scene? Honestly no one remembers Artosis' meta game talks in comparison to his rendition of sharktosis, or the uncontrollable incontrol.
All i really hope for is someone to come onto the show who obviously isn't sucking blizzards D***. Everyone is so honkey dorey, "oh MLG f****** up royally? It will be better next time." Why doesn't Artosis just call up gomchung and be like "yo, these mlg folks need to learn how to run a 512 person qualifier. I know we run one every few months, and there are never any hackers, no one ever gets left out, even the gold players, we don't charge 20 bucks per person and we let our chinese neighbors play too." Seriously though someone needs to step up and stop kissing Blizzards ass.

Coming to this thread I didn't expect all this argument about jp etc at all. I didn't even think about it.
It's a fun show, there's nothing not to like about more content. Probably they will differentiate their products as time goes on. It just looks similar now because of the players happened to feature this episode.

Also, anything that brings more moonglade to the sc2 world is a good thing. Now get me scarlett.

I enjoyed it.
Really great production, I really like Artosis as a host, etc.
It was a little eerie seeing them do the whole show without alluding to the fact that it looked so much like SoTG, it was like an alternate timeline where JP's parents never had sex, yknow.
I wouldn't mind having some different voices, though. I've never really been of the opinion that Catz, Theognis and Moonglade were the best guys for the job. We hear a lot from Catz, and I don't think theognis and moonglade are particularly interesting characters for the show.
I'd really like to see something along the lines of Artosis, Wolf, DeMuslim and Scarlett.

Any show with Artosis is a good show. But this? This is a particularly good show. Looking forward to the next episode.

Yeah but JP was consistent, he kept the show going week after week (almost all the time), he found guests, replaced hosts who left etc.. and filled in for those who couldn't make it this week?
Will Artosis do this? Or will he get bored after 3 months and abandon the show having ruined SOTG, which for any faults was still the best Sc2 show, in the process?
JP might not be the absolute best guy to host an Sc2 show but at least he was reliable and was good at finding great hosts to be on the show.
Way too many people in this thread are acting like JP didn't do anything and making a massive assumption that long term this will be better, when Artosis's show history is really, really bad in Sc2 up until this point.

About 2-3 months, might have been less. But overall the shows been going for about 2.5 years.
There's no way Artosis will still be doing Meta in two years time.

If he was doing it all himself I'd agree but he said he had someone producing it so there isn't much of a difference between SOTG and this for him, he just gets to talk about what he wants all the time.

The show was pretty good. I hope SOTG and Meta can co exist. I would love to have more great talk shows about the StarCraft scene.

I dont really get why some people think that this show will kill SotG. There are people who don't like talk shows (both formats are basically talk shows) and some who do like it. The first wouldn't watch anyway and the second most likely both. Its not like there are 10 different shows like this and as long as they are not at the exact same time i don't see why anyone shall lose viewer.
And that that JP isn´t interested in sc2 is not the point. His job at SotG is to be the host, which means to manage the production and the conversation. Which he does on a pretty consistant, good level.
