I still cant believe they dont dominate gaming scene. I always thought of them as of land of computers/technics. I really hope China and Japan can soon surpass Korea in sc2

Outside of Korea, Japan has pretty much the biggest eSports scene, it's just for fighting games :p

Japan are pretty big when it comes to fighting games and China has always had a huge fanbase and playerbase for DotA (and also WarCraft 3). "gaming scene" is in no way, shape or form limited to SC2.

This is pretty cool news, will definitely try to tune in if it's not inconvenient schedule-wise. Breek and Nemuke used to be pretty good ye? ^^

Wow, nice to see. I wasn't sure if they'd start something for SC2 in Japan after nothing really happened during WoL.

Whenever I think of Japan in StarCraft I think of that guy who beat Machine at WCG one year with hydras in ZvZ.

Cool to see a tournament pop up.

This is really awesome in my opinion.
I have always loved all things Japanese especially their competitive gaming.
I look forward to how strong their SC2 crowd is.

"Starcraft Legend Akagi: The Genius Who Hellbat-dropped Into the Darkness".

Does it culminate in a battle where Akagi is drained of blood every time he loses a unit?

good for Japan. I thought theyd never catch up with the rest of the world.

They're the mecca of gaming in general. I don't think they care much about competitive gaming when they have such a large gaming industry in general.
Why would you ever choose failure, when success is an option.

And a big yakuza guy cuts one of his left-hand fingers with a katana every time he loses a set.
Obviously, the climax match is a Bo9.
