I think that the we play on NA because judgement of players skill is based on NA ladder ranking. Though I am agreed with you that KR should be the better option.

Then stage 3 is all about winning to qualify to a playoff? sorry for being slow :D Now that the server can be selected, it could be the KR server, Korea has the best ping from Japan (a pretty good one given it's overseas). But actually almost every japanese plays with the US version of the game. If you try to buy SC2 online in Japan, you automatically get to the US battle.net, based on your IP and regardless of your PC settings.

Like iNcontroL keeps on saying, Terran, you've got a free scouting resource. Instead of being greedy by using all that command center energy on mules, use them on scans if you feel something's weird.
Tempest carrier should be pretty easy to sniff out especially if you see the fleet beacon and two stargates, as well as a weirdly tiny Protoss main army.
