Also Alive is a really good player but he has zero personality, the only thing I remember from his IPL win was how fucking bored he looked after he won.

These days he is no where near the top. Ah well. I hope our boys in blue (both blues) can do better in round 4! EGTL fighting! Oz is awesome for team league situations though. He is a true build order wizard which makes him a great sniper.

Don't get me wrong, I love korean players, but I always thought that EG-Liquid in Proleague would've been a step towards an internationalization of eSports, meaning that foreign talents could play and learn and improve in korea. But it looks like there is no foreigner with enough dedication to do that. Stephano goes for the easy money, skipping code S once more. And the great "foreign" roster? Byebye Thorzain, you had your proleague time. EGTL roster in proleague now: Taeja, HerO, JYP, Oz, aLive, Jaedong, korean, korean, korean... my hype is gone. Huk will still be there will he not? I mean it's only one guy, better than nothing I guess. I was with you, I thought two foreign teams, especially with such resources could form a permanent 'base' that would actually ape the Korean practice structure, but be a bit more comfortable for foreigners to acclimitise to Korea, i.e not having them stay with a bunch of Koreans and the cultural/communication problems that might solve. For whatever reason this hasn't happened yet. That said, if EGTL does start to perform up to standard, and integrates foreigners in the lineup over time it could have long-term positive results. Plus, exposure to proper teamleagues I think will be good in the longterm, there aren't enough of them it seems to me. Probably because most of the non-Korean players don't actually want to go to Korea. TLO and Snute seem to want to focus more on international events, as does Stephano, Sheth and Ret don't seem to enjoy Korea and IdrA wants to stay in the US in favor of streaming.

They'll perhapsre-evaluate that decision in due course. I mean, there really aren't going to be much in the way of foreign prize money to be going out even outside of Korea. And this isn't just the MLGs of this world either, where that's nothing new, but the solid Koreans like ForGG who are actually based in Europe and the States can have their pick of a lot of the non-premiere tournaments too.

Imagine that the team8 sponsorless team was only afforded by kespa with player salary raised upon creation (including big names like jaedong) and with a roster larger than EG-TL I believe. So that means that even the "sponsorless" team in the system has already a larger financial backing than the foreign "sponsored" team entering the thing. Unless I'm 100% wrong and EG is multimillion company, I can tell you guys are blowing some huge money fantasy out of all the EG-TL recruiting thing.
