I doubt it. I personally believe naniwa is a consistently better player in a stress-free environment. His problem's his emotions, if you get angry or nervous or anxious you literally get more stupid as your frontal lobe gets less blood. Anxiety especially is the killer of intellect.

Thorzain is definitely smarter (and not just than Naniwa, but most pros, with few exceptions); that doesn't mean he's better.

honestly he is easily the best swedish player out there. watch his stream, you'll see.

Any team but EG please!

I agree ! Naniwa may be a "mad dog" of esports but no one can deny his passion and ambition. EG is not a good place for a passionate and ambitious player , they want marketability etc.

This pretty much sums up how I feel. With TFunk you can literally see in his face just how intense his intellect can get.

Anyway, just my humble opinion.

I dont think its EG, and i also dont think its WW, my guess would be either Axiom, Acer or some korean team.

Hopefully a team thats in GSTL, would be nice to have naniwa on my FGSTL team

I don't understand why people are comparing Thorzain with Naniwa at the moment.
There were moments when Thorzain was clearly better (after his TSL3 win he had a moment with very ingenious builds played perfectly and later when he showcased great play in team leagues) and others when it was Naniwa (in 2011 during the Blizzard invitational or during his GSL runs) but neither one of them was able to maintain his level at the best.

Now WOL just finished, we have absolutely no way to compare them, Thorzain has just lost one serie and Naniwa has not play anything. I think we should let them play before starting to argue about who is the best.

Indeed we have no big tournaments or whatever to compare them in, but to everyone who watched Thorzain's play in MLG and Naniwa's play in E-sport-SM yesterday, I think most will agree that Naniwa's play just looked way cleaner and at a higher level than Thorzain's.

Well you have seen one match by Thorzain in TvZ which was never his best MU against Killer who is a fine player with an original style (he did not attend every tournament like the so-called "patch zergs" but he had good results during this time).
Thorzain absolutely crushed Socke as well during the qualifier in the MU where he always excelled.

Naniwa has only beaten Swedish players unknown in the international scene aside from Starnan who has never been a top contender. You have to keep in mind that the player you are up against has a big influence on how well your style is perceived. Especially with Naniwa's greedy style who looks absolutely unstoppable if you don't do the right decisions. I haven't watched E-Sport SM but I wouldn't build my opinion on this tournament.

Naniwa has only beaten Swedish players unknown in the international scene?

yeah i'm not really a fan of Naniwa but that's such a ridiculous thing to say lol.

Naniwa clearly has already plateaued in terms of level of SC2. A new game brings new potential i guess, but he proved he was what, top 3 foreigner? And still miles behind Koreans in WOL. Maybe he can ride the new game and stay competitive in Korea until the Koreans figure the game out, but im quite confident that getting Code S will be a struggle this time round for Naniwa in Korea.

Very intrigued to see which team has picked him up though. Would be quite interesting if it is EG...they are openly looking for more players to join their Korean roster for ProLeague, but with his BM (i guess it is classified as BM?) to Thorzain i doubt it would be EG. So that leaves Axiom?Acer? or will he be actually joining a Korean team?

I think he's better than ThorZaIN but he is always tilting.

T-ZaIN will always be the "King of the Nord" regardless.

I'm predicting either WW or Acer, but anything is possible. Axiom isn't a likely choice because they are focusing mainly on Korea and GSTL. If NaNiwa joins WW and Acer, he can play with the Koreans in NSHS or Axiom due to the partnerships. Who knows, maybe we might get NaNiwa joining a Korean team like Fenix did.

New team, that's news. Nani talking shit again, that's not news.

Wonder if he's less terrible to deal with now. From what pros/people have said, he's awful to try and work with.

Though now when I think of it, Naniwa and TB have tweeted each other several times in the last few weeks. Doesn't really mean anything but being on speaking terms is a least better than what you could say for some of the other teams he's being connected to.
