Hoping for him to join Acer and maybe even go to train in Korea and compete in GSTL

eh..
i think its very unlikely.
Kespa teams want their players to focus 100% on proleague and the only foreign event that he will be allowed to participate in is going to be MLG.

Hm he can play in more then MLG I think considering that Parting (who is on a kespa team SKT right?) played at IEM a couple weeks ago :o.
When I think of something else, something will go here

Naniwa was definitely much better than Thorzain when he got to round of 8 in GSL. Now though? Probably only slightly better.

thats because parting was the best protoss at the time crushing everyone with his soul wonwonwon (minus Life), so he could demand those conditions when he signed the contract. Naniwa is nowhere near as good as parting and Kespa teams are not going to pay for flights for naniwa who wants to attend as many foreign events as possible. I might be wrong and naniwa going to kespa team could happen though

Alex Garfield just said in The Pulse that EG is signing two players on short term contracts (like 6 months), so one could be Naniwa.

p.s. let's pray idra doesn't self-destruct, as a result

I think he'd be able to do MLG, since they have that partnership with KeSPA and Naniwa is definitely someone who brings a crowd (whether you like him or not), I just don't think KeSPA would pick him up considering the whole Nestea incident and stuff like that. Naniwa has also said one of his main goals this year is to win a Dreamhack, so I don't think KeSPA really fits what he wants. I think if he could make it on a KeSPA team though it'd be a good environment for him - nonstop training and lots of good preparation for matches.

Don't forget that he qualified prior to joining plus he couldn't play in proleague before round 4

No Parting was free until season 4 started, so he will soon be focused on kespa tournaments.

I was actually forgetting about that lol .That was long time ago (in terms of Esports time) yeah that could be the case.

I don't understand why people are comparing Thorzain with Naniwa at the moment.
There were moments when Thorzain was clearly better (after his TSL3 win he had a moment with very ingenious builds played perfectly and later when he showcased great play in team leagues) and others when it was Naniwa (in 2011 during the Blizzard invitational or during his GSL runs) but neither one of them was able to maintain his level at the best.

Now WOL just finished, we have absolutely no way to compare them, Thorzain has just lost one serie and Naniwa has not play anything. I think we should let them play before starting to argue about who is the best.

Indeed we have no big tournaments or whatever to compare them in, but to everyone who watched Thorzain's play in MLG and Naniwa's play in E-sport-SM yesterday, I think most will agree that Naniwa's play just looked way cleaner and at a higher level than Thorzain's.

Well you have seen one match by Thorzain in TvZ which was never his best MU against Killer who is a fine player with an original style (he did not attend every tournament like the so-called "patch zergs" but he had good results during this time).
Thorzain absolutely crushed Socke as well during the qualifier in the MU where he always excelled.

Naniwa has only beaten Swedish players unknown in the international scene aside from Starnan who has never been a top contender. You have to keep in mind that the player you are up against has a big influence on how well your style is perceived. Especially with Naniwa's greedy style who looks absolutely unstoppable if you don't do the right decisions. I haven't watched E-Sport SM but I wouldn't build my opinion on this tournament.

I hope to god its a kespa team. That would be amazing, and just what he needs to compliment his practice style and really allow him to blossom
