Salary is definitely a factor. Also players like Symbol and Hyun might want to attend more foreign events (foreign teams) or play in PL(Kespa).

If I remember correctly Symbol and Seed are actually good friends even though they've had a rivalry after their series in 2012 GSL Season 3.

Three of the IM zergs made it into Code S for this season, they are the team with the most Zerg players in Code S. I don't think they're as bad as you think. Nestea and Losira are making a resurgence recently.

damn it IM you snagged the wrong Zerg. I wanted Symbol! SYMBOL! Then I could have 3 of my favorite Zergs on one team, bah -.-
Ragnarok could be good in the future though and IM really knows how to develop its players. I think Center would be an amazing pickup for them as well, he's just started to establish some results in gsl and you can already see the skill is there.

If you knew the least bit about IM's modus operandi, you would be aware that they like to build their champion-tier players from the ground up, as opposed to the "BUY ALL THE PROVEN GOSUS" strategy that other teams employ. Look at LosirA, YongHwa, First, Seed, YoDa. All budding talents, carefully developed and grown by the IM coach at the expense of what otherwise could have been all the team league championships ever.
Good luck to RagnaroK! There's no doubt IM see quite a bit of potential in him. Will be interesting to witness his development! ^^

Have you looked at NSHoSeo's zerg line-up recently? Even the zerg line-up of FXO is a bit weaker than LG-IM's.

Good pickup for sure. Ragnarok is someone with a lot of potential, perfectly fits IM's idea of picking people and training them up. The roster is looking really strong now.

I've believed this kid had potential ever since the first time I saw him play in Team Arena Challenge. Needless to say, this makes me happy.

Ragnarok is a GREAT zerg player, too bad is so incredibly overshadowed by his former teammates and its not like hes gna have an easier time getting recognition in LG-IM with the other players... nevertheless RAGNAROK and LG-IM HWAITING!

Woohoo!Had been talking with RagnaroK for a while about teams after TSL disbanded and he told me he wanted to go to LG-IM. So glad he got what he wanted. RagnaroK Fighting!

Now they have a fully balanced roster, especially with MC picking up the slack.

I actually made a mistake with the roster originally, asurely and horror were not listed as " active " on Liquipedia so I didn't include them, but they are still playing according to some Korean news sources. Updated the OP.
