Jaedong sold out

Maybe so, but can you blame him? He's got to look out for himself, he's not a teenager anymore and like every adult he needs money to live.
| Forum Index > SC2 General |
| Correction: Daily ESPORTS mistakenly reported earlier that Jaedong would return to Team Eight immediately should they find a sponsor. This was a misunderstanding; Jaedong's 1 year period with EG is binding. | ||

Seems like it. Slasher said it was a loan on Lo3, although DjWheat then said it was a straight-up signing so I don't know what to believe.

T8 is not even a sponsored team. It is curious what pay they are offering JD though, since kespa teams might make better monetary offers, but I suppose it makes sense as JD wanted to go to a foreign team. yeah. I'll quit watching starcraft 2 if flash gets poached before KT finds a successor to his throne.

Seems like a great deal for EG. They can have him for a year and see if he continues improving in SC2 at the rate he has been and if he does they can give him a bigger deal and if not they can let him go back to T8.

Why would they do this tho? I have a hard time seeing how Jaedong leaving the team will help them both ingame and outside of the game with a sponsor and stuff. I also hope they won't fucking stress him out like they do with everyone else flying him to all kinds of tournaments while Proleague is going on and shit...

However, Team 8th does not have a major sponsor unlike the other KeSPA teams. So they may have not had enough finances, compared to what EG offered. But still, how in the world does EG get this money?! Insane. Hope its not a bubble.

Something isn't right, DjWheat said that it was not a loan, Jaedong is on a full contract with EG. Most likely the article just mentioned the ending date of the contract and the renewal period, which is standard for all players on any team.
