I can't seem to get the program to work with OBS, it will either not show up at all, or it will say 'Error: User "" not found.' as the text. Could you maybe do give me some instructions for doing it on OBS? I may be missing something... Chances are it's quite obvious

You should be hitting the "enter" key after entering your last.fm username. Sounds like you're not.

It is only when I'm trying to show it in the text source that it won't show up. Yup, I just made the video. OBS is a bit weird with text. Basically, OBS messes up the text with small sizes. You just crank the size, then edit the size of it with "edit scene". Also make sure the color is visible on the background ^^.

Can you tell me where you put the Plugin.jar file?

When i first downloaded it the compressed file went straight into my dowloads folder on my C drive and i extracted it right into that folder, i tried moving the plugin to my desktop and to an external hard drive but the text file always appears in the same place.

I have no idea why it's doing that. The way java works is it defaults to the folder that the program is being executed in unless otherwise specified. In any case, you can just point xsplit/obs towards the currentsong.txt inside the System32 folder.

That's part of what makes it really strange though is that it doesn't seem to recognize it inside the system32 folder, it can see other text documents in there and if i move the file it's fine but it just doesn't seem to find it in the folder. I'll report back if i can find something.

OO; also I had this issue before where it would display a song I wasn't listening to half the time but I haven't tried it in a while. I'll post if I have that issue again ~_~; Yea, redownload. I'm not sure why it would do that O.o It takes ~5 seconds to update at the start of a new song, other than that, it just pulls from the text file, which is really just last.fm.
