He's always been one of the better mannered gamers to me. I just didn't realize he would be considered a professional gamer by any means.

Destiny should not be on that list, he kinda pissed away his Root status, and has such nasty behavior these days, He does not even play sc2.
I hope the recent ex-slayer folk grab a team soon, Shame Genius was not on SlayerS very long and now he finds himself with no team once again)=
And nani has as personal sponsor, players such as Violet don't want teams, personal sponsorship is so much more money for them and it's like 1 on 1 coaching for them.
MMA almost had a personal sponsorship with Razor untill you know who messed it up

I thought i saw naniwa with a jacket+sponser on it at mlg

Ryung rumored to go to axiom but not official yet

Didn't think Future was a professional.

Alicia, the man who performed pretty well and got 2nd in MLG n NASL, teamless.. kinda boggles my mind... well obviously there are other factors too(eg.slayers drama)

I think the list was mostly compiled by what the OP "thought" or went off by memory of who was released/resigned from a team, or was in a disbanded team.
Would be much better if OP researched his sources, and found out if said players even want a team or are even currently playing SC2 professional.
Also, Professional is someone who is paid -or- earns money doing something. Ergo, if that player had made any more from playing SC2, they can be technically considered a professional. Regardless of skill, even if you won a $1 tourney with like 3 people playing, you can be considered a professional. Even though the vast majority of people will dismiss it.

NaNi's personal sponsorship is different to that of viOlet or Grubby. He doesn't get a salary, and it doesn't preclude him from getting a team. In fact, he is looking for a team, so he's in the list.

It's not actually a rumour, TB said that they will sign him once his contract with SlayerS expires...which was the 4th of November I believe. O,o
I don't know about Future; I don't know anything about him, I was just asked to add him. If many people think he's not a pro, then maybe I'll take him down from the list.

I disagree. Winning a $1 tourney doesn't make you professional. If I play a poker game with my friends, and win $20, I'm not a professional gambler. If I play football (read: soccer) in an amateur, one-off tournament, and my team wins a trophy and $50, then I'm still not on the same level as Lionel Messi.
The word 'professional' actually does include skill considerations. A football club president, even though he makes a ton of money off football, is not a football professional - because he doesn't play the game. On the other hand, a teacher with a B.Ed degree, is called an education professional. A lawyer or a notary with a degree and a warrant, is called a legal professional. This is because they have the skill (acquired through knowledge and experience) and qualifications to be such professionals.
So whilst it is impossible to have a perfect classification of professional, and non-professional, I think I'm being reasonable about it.
You're right in saying that some of these might not want a team, or have retired, but: a) I don't know the players personally, and asking them might be rude; b) Whether a person is retired, or is not looking for a team, will come out sooner or later.
For example, someone said that Cytoplasm retired; I'll just wait for another source, and take him down. As regards Destiny, I'm just waiting for some announcement by him that he's left the scene of the game he hates. Same with the rest.

Where did it ever say he wasn't getting a salary as part of the sponsorship?
