The guys did a really really good job in my opinion.
I cant stress enough how impressed I was with those ten minutes.

Yeah I felt the same, it takes some eloquence to explain it like they did. Minimal use of game terms and easy to understand explanations. Frankly people still did not seem to care, it's just how it is I guess. A bunch of dudes running after a ball is less chaotic than watching animations do odd things on a computer screen.

I don't think I've ever seen such negative twitter reactions to an item in DWDD. The huk moment was nice though.

Do you have some examples?

I just checked the tweets for #dwdd (not just top tweets, click 'All') during the actual broadcast. Most can be summarized as 'nerds #dwdd'. See https://twitter.com/search?q=#dwdd nerds&src=typd for a few of those reactions.

I guess there's always gonna be people complaining or being close minded. Some people were surprisingly positive. As a Starcraft fan I might've taken the negative comments a little too personal.

YO GUYS

This -> https://twitter.com/search?q=#starcraft #dwdd&src=typd <- should be full of more positive tweets :D I bet some of the people here have twitter, contribute!

And considering we don't have that many people here in Holland compared to say, the US, it's alot

For the time that was given I thought it was a really good segment, I'm afraid tough, the people interested in it already know all about it... hope I'm wrong tough =)

Thanks for all the positive reactions!

I'm Niels (BloodyNiles) and you all probably never heard of me, but I was the guy on the show yesterday portrayed as 'the starcraft fan' - which I am ofcourse! Although I'm not that good at StarCraft (I'm a silver league protoss player) I love to watch it!

Alexander (the guy who did the introductory talk) is a friend of mine and a regular guest on the show, talking about the new things in new media. A couple of weeks ago I said to him that he should do something with StarCraft and he said he'd keep it in mind.
So yesterday morning I got a call from someone on the show saying Alexander gave them my number and if I could help them make this item happen.

I think it went well! There were some negative reactions on twitter, but there were also a lot of postive reactions! So thank you all so much for that!

Oh Ret, again: thanks so much for doing this! I hope there will be a next time so you can say something as well. Good luck in Bucharest!

I'd say good job in general, getting the topic on national TV. Got a quick call from my parents that this was on Dutch TV, so that was fun!

Got to see it myself this morning, and I'd still say good job!

However, it seemed like you guys might not have been knowledgeable enough on the topic to present it (still, with your enthusiasm and all it was still "good for esports").

The other problem (if I may call it so) was that they tried to fit in too much stuff in the little time that was available. The quick glance at in game action just wasn't worth it in the end, especially when jumping in in the middle of a game.

Anyway, cool stuff, good job!
