It was also pretty funny that they told people to follow @liquidret in dutch.

This so made my day, and my girlfriend had no idea what I was laughing about :D

It's a very popular show actualy that is send out on prime time so ye very cool to see a bit of Sc2 on the television.

I myself got into starcraft via the tv (watching Broodwar on Eurosports o0) Who knows this might do some good

Well it wasn't bad, it's difficult to explain anything which is complex and pretty big in like 10 minutes. The only thing i wouldn't had done was that little show match between Ret and Harstem, that didn't really work. IMO it would have been better to show some more footage from a big event.

The Huk video part.... not bad but the quality was not really good. I would have chosen Thorzain winning DH Stockholm.

Oh and Harstem looked sharp, Ret on the other hand not so much.

when it comes to drugs, sex, religion and sexual prefferences we are very open-minded.. But about Games and E-sports, holland has allways been behind, compared to other European country's like Germany and France.

I still don't get how they buy Fifa/COD every year while it is almost the same as the year before....

People, please don't feel negative about dutch guys that don't want to understand it. The people that watch TV don't actually care for much other than stuff that entertains them.

The fact that someone litterally had to explain a whole game in less than 30 seconds to people that don't even know anything about RTSes says enough about how much of a success it was going to be. Explaining the game is hard enough as it is when you watch through a whole game. Explaining it from the ground up while an immortal sentry all in is in the middle of a battle with a huge roach ling surround is pretty much impossible.

The demographic that watches 'De wereld draait door' is not the one we would want to focus our attention on ._.

really cool and really well done. They really learned from the grubby interview. A ton of action, fun guys explaining, passion all over the place and generally awesome DWDDness.

I thought it was a pretty good show. The focus was primarily on the parallels between regular sports and esports, that things like BarCraft aren't really much different from watching football in a bar. The live game fragment between Ret and Harstem was a bit chaotic, but the audience was dumped right in the middle of a failed Immortal/Sentry all-in and there was action going on while the caster was trying to explain SC2 basics (which are kinda essential). Would've been better if the game segment would've been a bit longer, starting with a more passive phase in which basics (different races, units having strengths and weaknesses, allin vs eco play, etc...) could be touched on.

The caster is VanCaspel on TL. He organized a SC2 tournament for Nijmegen Students and is now leading the organization of the upcoming Dutch SC2 League.
