Oh cmon, every culture has that line that shouldn't be crossed when throwing insulting jokes around. just because in western culture 'yo momma' jokes are 'hur hur funny' doesn't mean in an eastern/asian culture it's okay. It's often times seen as not only an insult but a means to disgrace someones family by saying your mother is a whore/i fucked your mom/etc. EVERY culture has a line that is drawn, just because korean's draw it at shibalnom and the west wouldn't doesn't make it any less terrible to say. I don't think I need to sit here and dig through different cultures and find what line would cross the line, we can all think of one that would be 'going too far', and it's not our place to impose OUR limits on the korean norm.
