1. 2012 GSL season 2 - From a balance perspective it was the best run since Fruitdealer in the first GSL. MVP's worst matchup against 3 of the top 5 protoss at the time and all of them living under one roof to boot. 2. 2011 GSL August - Polt, MC, Nestea, Huk, July, TOP. That gauntlet of challengers had 9 championships and something to the tune of $450k in winnings at the time . His mass ghost strategy against Julyzerg was the catalyst for the snipe nerf. If TOP weren't such a pushover it might have been worthy of #1. 3. MLG Anaheim - Took down DRG and MMA. Nuff said. 4. IEM VII Cologne - Sure they were foreigners but the 3 patchzergs MVP beat had taken down the rest of the Koreans at this event. The icing on the cake is that MVP's performance in this event single handedly prevented terrans from getting a raven buff. 5. 2011 GSL January -16W 1L is impressive but MVP didn't actually play anyone good until the semifinals. The field in this GSL was pretty much the weakest ever due to players being seeded in rather than qualifying. 6. GSL world champ - Huk, July, San, Marineking. Decent but not particularly monstrous lineup to beat. MVP benefited from this tournament not having a group stage, which MVP tends not to do as well in. 7. Blizzcon - A bunch of ezpz foreigners with the only significant resistance coming from Nestea. The one impressive part about this was that the finals happened the day after MVP had lost to MMA in the code S finals but MVP was able to recover mentally in time. 8. WCG 2011 - The WCG name carries weight due to its history but this was MVP's least challenging championship since he didn't have to play anyone who was a real threat. | ||
