Off-topic: + Show Spoiler +dat face on his Twitter; he REALLY looks like an Evil Genius there...
I've heard he refuses to do GSL. I wonder how his unique training style will mesh (or not, maybe, lol) with the strict Korean regimen. Hope everyone benefits from his stay, of course.

This should be good. He raises his skill quite a bit every time he goes

Presumably, his salary is big enough now that he doesn't have to try to win a bunch of events all the time and can focus solely on GSL. This won't actually happen, but I can dream.

If true, I wonder why he refuses to do GSL. Hopefully it's not because he's afraid he might fail to prove himself in the biggest stage currently in SC2.

i hope he makes it to code s!
on another note
Is it normal for pros to fly business/first class? I travel quite frequently to Australia for work so I know how painful the 14+ hours on a plane can be in both economy and business/first. It sucks and I wouldn't want to be competing in a huge tournament the day after arriving as I know some players end up doing this.
That being said, international business/first tickets are often in the $10k + range when economy tickets are ~$1k. I work for a major company that employs 70k+ people and they have a pretty strict policy on whether or not you can fly business (i think it's 10+ hrs of travel). I wouldn't expect that pro gaming teams, even with their sponsors can afford to pay $5-$10k every time they send a player away for an international tournament.

He would never say it. But it's pretty much the reason he refuses them.

Better play GSL this time!
|
This is epic, Stephano is going back to Korea when right when Code S is finishing maybe he can qualify next season and we might possibly have a foreign winner at the GSL? Good for EG to send him there as well. Too bad no longer partnered with SlayerS

Not interesting news unless Stephano actually plays in the GSL.
|
lol the megs of text generated by an economy class ticket
this is why I love the internet!
If stephano is in code s that would be... I have no words lol.

Amsterdam first, then korea ! Gogo stephano ;D

I don't think even rich people use business/first class these days. When I came to Seoul a few weeks ago I hardly saw anyone in the business section. And I recently saw a picture of Michael Fassbender sleeping away in the economy section. I'm pretty sure he could afford first class (lol) if he wanted to. The benefits don't really justify the unbelievable hike in price, especially if you're going to snooze all through the flight.
Anywho, good luck in korea Stephano! Maybe I'll go see one of his matches live if he gets a seed into Code S.

I'd like to propose a simple poll: When Stephano leaves South Korea his Win/Loss rate in competitive play will be what %?
I'd expect something comfortably less than 50% but maybe he'll prove me wrong.

Not really, he can do both if he wants since Code S is only on weekdays and foreign events mainly on weekends. GOM can work around schedule if you give them enough time.

I'm more excited about him streaming. But participating in GSL isn't bad either. Getting good run will be hard even for him. Nobody has secure ro8 spot.

Lol when I first glanced at the picture, I only saw Amsterdam and thought Stephano backed out of those tournaments solely to go there. xD
