MoW needs to pay taxes for their income, Poland is not Monaco, so they absolutely need a contract.
About the actual statement, it's quite possible that a eSports news site is actually paying for rights to publish it, knowing it will generate quite some traffic on their site. That's stupid, that's not the reason they NEED a contract. Why would someone want proof of extra income on paper that they then have to claim?
Without a contract it's illegal. It is also illegal not to pay taxes. When you do something illegal THEY come for you :D

Ok, thats kinda sounds like indentured servitude. And the requirements are a joke.. 10 years. I would be interesting to see a copy of this contract.

NO
THAT'S NOT TRUE. How hard is it to read a thread? It's a totally different guy who owes Gunrun 1k usd.

Isnt that about that thing in the Philippines and that person was Gus ?

Business basic: Dont say you will release a statement within a certain timeframe and then dont release a statement in said timeframe. It makes you look like a bunch of incompetent idiots.
"Within 24 hours" (considering it was late in the evening when the thread occured), "as soon as possible" would've been all viable timeframes, since statements take time. Everyone knows that. Saying 2 hours and then not sticking to it. Well... incompetence. And when someone is incompetent in one field... well....
|
LO3 starts soon btw. Maybe this is the news source they are talking about? In that case Slasher is probably killing eSports again.

I need my statement, or else i'll get bored with this drama NOW!

Not sending the contract forward... Mmm this I can understand, they just don't want it to go puplic with all the numbers on it. Everyone does this, we don't know how much players get paid for example. Then again, why not just let someone goddamn translate it to Fuzer. Like some random dude who has nothing to do with esports.
Oh and hope Fuzer gets atleast some of his money back.
The not sending contract forward is not standard at all. The contents of that contract isn`t made any more public when you have a lawyer review it with you. The moment that contract is given to the client they are at risk of the contents being made public. Fuzer could have just taken a hard copy of the contract and forwarded it to his lawyer.

statement will be on LO3, I'm guessing

"2 hours"? At least try to make it look like Blizzard by saying "soon". It makes you look a little more competent. But it's been what, 3 hours now? It's a thing of business basics: If you give a timeframe for a statement, RESPECT DEM TIMEFRAMES.

Agreed, its pretty unprofessional to say within 2 hrs and then 3.5 hrs later still nothing.
I still want to see a copy of this contract also.

I wonder if it would be a good idea to close the thread until MoW releases their statement. Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to tell mods what to do. My point is, most of posters in this thread already started talking bad about MoW, even without hearing them out. If someone checks this thread and sees plenty of negative posts about MoW, he'll most likely think that they're a bunch of thieves and scammers. I'm not trying to defend MoW because I don't know details. What I'm trying to say is that the accused side of conflict is always in disadvantageous position in such situations, because many people form and spread their opinions before hearing out both sides. I think the thread in which Spades was accused of hacking is the best example of the problem. OP was very suggestive, some people started raging and Spades was quickly deemed guilty. I don't even know if he did hack or not, but the amount of bad PR he received before he could defend himself had put him in unrecoverable position.

at a glance.
Füzér gave a contract to your lawyer and what happened? that by signing up for it, you have no right to live in any other pro haousie for 10 years wtf? in addition he was there for 6 days and paid for a month, but he did not sign the contract has been kicked. The problem lies in the fact that he wanted to get their money back but the "Boss" opdowiedział whether or not a contract - no, no - so you never been so real and I do not have your money.
embarrassment. I am outraged by this situation, because the subject went to tl, and again a lot more than you lost've gained. Because a good name is worth more than any money .. before food for the guests and now it .. business is business and there is no sentiment in them but the organization's reputation is worth more than 2k.

Certain people definitely make me facepalm, however, I'm glad to see not every post in this thread is so low quality.
releasing a statement late, does not make you look like an incompetent idiot, that's similar to Blizzard or nearly every other company changing the release date for a game. Sometimes PR takes time to make, that you did not forsee. It's like people want MoW to die or something.
Also the link that was posted saying it was the statement by nullrd, that IS NOT It is just a summary of the teamliquid thread.

If his lawyer can't see the contract im sure it's full of goodies.
