I STILL don't get it. Why do you insist on broadcasting Wednesday through Sunday? You clash most weekends with LAN tourneys that will steal your viewers. Also making room for one broadcast slot is way easier and most people have different schedules Saturday and Sunday compared to the rest of the week.
So why not broadcast Monday through Friday?
I can bet, that your weekend broadcasts have less viewers.

BEASTYTHORZAINSTRELOK. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
|
Hmm.. 13 Koreans in Season 3, 20 in Season 4, by Season 6 NASL will be another korean dominated tournament.

Honestly, a tournament loses it's prestige without Koreans. How can you call the competition top notch when Koreans, dedicated to esports for over a decade, are not there?
|
Going to be so good! Can't wait for NASL to start again!

Saturday / Sunday is by far our highest viewer numbers, actually.

Holy shit that group C. Like the format, good job and good luck NASL.

i dont see any problem with it. when i watch any sc2 competition, i only see them as good players, not by their nationality =p
i do see your point though, but it is really up to the "foreigners" to step up.
|
Sick groups, like the mix of well known and underdog players! Got my sub!
|
Can't wait. Already subbed and have subbed every season.
Every season, nay every broadcast, you guys have stepped it up from the last. I really appreciate the high quality league you guys have created and I look forward to watching Season 4. Keep it up NASL team!

Who the hell is arthur? edit: apparently a slayer protoss. Never heard of him.

This is going to be a great season!
By the way, how do playoffs work? Same as last season? One of the few complaints I had with NASL last season was that most of us literally did not know the playoff system until very late into the season. Hopefully NASL can be more clear and avoid the confusion like last season.

WildCards and Playoffs: NASL will once again use a WildCard and Playoffs system, wherein:
- Top 8 people in the league after the regular season go straight to the playoffs. These 8 are made up of the 5 divisional leaders and the 3 second place divisional finishers with the best record.
- The remaining 8 people in the playoffs are filled by people who survive the WildCards.
- The WildCards consist of the top finishers from the open and the remaining top finishers from the regular season.
Basically, there are two rounds of elimination in the post-season. Players who finish well enough get to skip past the first round of elimination. The next 16 have to fight each other for a spot in the playoffs.

Cool, thanks for the info. Will the live finals have 8 or 16 players?

Will NASL be covering flight and travel expenses for those to make it to the finals? Similar to the way MLG does things?

Stacked groups once again! Go go qxc!

Oh. It just seems so little reward for actually doing well in your division. Will these play-offs actually be reasonably spaced out this time or will it be 8 hour days again like last time?
How many make it to the offline finals? 8 again?

OMG thank you for doing this. This has been a problem for all tournements that run a long season format. When they get closer to the end, some maps can feel outdated, and without a plan for changing mappool this caused problems. Latest example would be TSL4 who realised shortly before start that Korhal compound was going out of favor. Result was that they removed it and ran with map reruns in the finals. Don't get me wrong reruns can be done, but i am not a fan of it.
My hope for the first map to be replaced would be metropolis. The map is broken both in balance and design. The games on it are just too long and boring, Zerg have MASSIVE advantage against terran, and there is plenty of lag problems aswell. Blizzard removed it from ladder pool months ago. GSL did too recently. Hope you follow suit.

Chill beans! I got my pass awhile ago and I am super stoked! Gogo NASL!

Can you bet on this NASL. on pinnaclesports, they say you can but no odds online. can you only on playoff ?
|
Could you explain your format; nothing annoys a LP editor more than not being able to order everything properly and considering the system changed from season 2 to 3, we could use some explanations.
|
Finally on-board with the map pool changes. Plus awesome lineup (Divisions 1 & 3 are just brutal). Stephano is instantly in the playoffs too (5 is easiest group). Looking like a great season. EG, of course, needs to acquire someone from group 3 to have a player in each group .
|
i bought an HD pass because you invited MMA this season

Week 1 and 2 for division 5 is the exact same schedule~

Here's another question:
Can you estimate how long it takes from games played to broadcast? I heard it used to be around 2 weeks, but sometimes up to 6 weeks of production time.
|
live, or same-day most of the time

Season 3 had quite a lot of live matches, as well as replay casts usually from the prior day. Having a mix actually works well, because if there's an issue they can delay the live matches and cast the replays instead.
Unfortunately NASL got a bit of a bad rep in S1 and S2 wasn't great, and it seems like a lot of people haven't kept up. IMO NASL S3 was awesome, it was one of the few things worth regularly tuning in for.
For the sake of studying, I won't be buying an S4 pass, since between now and Christmas I need to pass some exams, but it's a shame a lot of people missed out on Season 3 and still have such negative preconceptions about NASL that haven't been relevant sometimes for over a year.

Our games are always very fresh (within a few days or even hours at times). We hate old, irrelevant games as much as you do.

Puzzle has been very sick.
Puma may receive a walkover, but there's still a chance the game will be played if we can get it done in a timely fashion.
|
I bought the premium pass to watch the VODs . It seems to me that I'm only able to play them in 1080p, is this correct? Sitting at my computer I usually find that a bit overkill and at times it lags. Are you supposed to be able to watch the subscriber VODs in lower quality and if so how?
