Even by beating Jaedong or someone like that, people would be able to see how close they are, and even if they were very far apart, people would be able to tell that MVP and MC's reign will be shortly coming to an end with HotS. Really? So I guess MVP and MC will not play in any more korean tournaments because they are afraid of Kespa players?

This doesn't even make sense.

If they win gamescom or place well they could do better than if they played in WCS I guess.

Perhaps you are confusing it with WCG In fact it's doing exactly what it's meant to - bring us new players who aren't at the top of the scene and put them in the spotlight. People like Reality who have been brought in to the public eye.

In terms of SC2 WCS>IEM. But in terms of esports IEM>WCS. An important thing to consider here is that IM is sponsored by Intel, which practically makes sense why they would prioritize IEM over WCS. Also LG Electronics will have a booth at Gamescom, so that's another reason. SK Gaming is a german based organization and a lot of there sponsors have ties to the german market, so that makes sense as well (MC Attended every German IEM event last year).

I think I read somewhere that Mvp is going to do something (sign stuff I guess) in a LG booth at gamescom. If that's the case I guess Mvp more or less had to go.
