Far from EG for sure, but probably richer than almost any European team, yes.
SC2 is the best game to watch and was the best to play before I grew old and slow...

Well Lewellys once said that "money was not a problem and people needed to stop assuming Millenium could not afford players such as Stephano". He added that Mill had more budget than an other big european team but I can't remember which one.

Not really true, Millenium had Huk, then Tarson when he was like top 5 EU. Not the biggest, but still a good roster.

The money comes from :

Their website: News/streams/events in french for most of games and gaming events, millions of pages views every months with many ads and their sponsors everywhere.

Dailymotion : 3 Web TV, TV1 30M views (50 000 unique viewers during last ASUS ROG), TV2 13M views, TV3 4.4M views, all with video game content and ads again.

The money they get from Stephano's fame is in fact a pretty small part of their income. And they have a ton of money, just with their website and their TVs

Ah, it seemed like a small team that had no impact at all let alone having money in the bank. Then i guess Stephano is staying right where he is if Millenium wants him to.

Millenium has teams in almost every game. They recruited the best players from Quake to play in their shootmania team for exemple.

I hope they will improve their LoL team though. And recruit another top tier player for their sc2 lineup.

Stephano routinely draws in 10k viewers on his stream and usually plays for 4-5 hours. That and his salary should be netting him over 200k+. If he didn't put that in a bank and instead hired a broker to build a large and diverse investment portfolio he COULD actually live off that while still growing his wealth (Comfortably retiring in his mid twenties). He'll stay in progaming for at least one more year and make a lot more money. Of course, he's a 19 year old with a six figure income and I doubt he'd carefully plan for his financial future like this.

To get an idea you need to look at millenium as a whole not just the starcraft 2 team, they just built a shootmania team with Strenx in it, recruited Cypher the Quakecon 2012 winner, they have 4 channels that deliver content from 10 AM to late in the night which are getting a lot of viewers, CDiscount one of the sponsor was the third e-commerce website in France for the year 2011 just behing ebay and amazon, with numbers close to amazon, it's not just a random sponsor, and you know MSI.
