The preparation is what makes the GSL so so good. Its part of the drama and suspense. Watching Seed proxy Robo MC with prism 4 gate was the greatest moment in a televised PvP I have ever seen. And yes, as a protoss player I am completely serious.

It might have been a scheduling necessity due to the WCS Korea taking up this entire month for GSL, but it really pulls the rug out from under GSL players who rely on week-to-week preparation like Mvp and Nestea, and favors streaky players like MarineKing. ...wait, this means MKP could win a GSL. I'm suddenly torn. Completely agree I'm also glad that it seems that a good majority of people here dislike this!

Why did anyone anywhere decide that this was an OK thing to do? Having the entire thing in one weekend? What? Almost no preparation time for the players whatsoever - especially when some of the favorites will have to juggle GSL with IPL? This is a very poor decision.

Anywho, I wonder who the power at be made this decision, was it GSL thinking it was a good idea, or was it IPL using their power to have GSL hold the finals at IPL5 Edit: As the guy above me has also said, if IPL5 is anything like todays broadcast everybody loses. If this is to happen SC2 has got to be the #1 priority.

One of the GSL's best finals happened at Blizzcon between MVP and MMA so it doesn't necessarily have to be in Korea. But GSL piggy-backing off of IPL5 from the Ro8 onwards seems like it's the lesser of the two tournaments, which isn't the case.

Otherwise, if they have the GSL Grand Finals played before IPL5's Grand Finals, it just completely cheapens the prestige for the most competitive tournament in the world.
