Will miss him a lot at IPL. Really loved his work at IPL3; I was a big fan after that. Didn't he say that he didn't like living in Korea and it was really hard on his family, back when he left to join IPL full time? Maybe that was someone else.

Either way, good to hear he's going where his dreams are.

Ugh if moltrap is casting the ogn league I wont be watching. seems like a nice guy, just find him slightly annoying. he always seemed to ignore his co-caster and scream like a banshee. also, stories about band camp = not entertaining.
Someone needs to tell the truth, but it shouldn't be my job.

well doa for ogn seems kinda nice but its sad for IPL, i'm curios how casting gonna develop at IPL maybe painuser transitioning into caster?^^ He got the indepht knowledge to be a good analytical caster at least and i liked him and HD back in the days.
HD would have to refresh his skills first at the last ipl he was horrible calling completly wrong this buildorder and metagame wise talking about old stuff no one does but if he gets up to date with the game i'd also like a comeback from him

afaik moletrap does the LoL casting he should stick with that, its not even the fact i dont like him but if he did lol for some time now and had his focus on it i think he will be completly outdated in terms of common builds and metagame

Really sad to hear this. IPL was becoming one of my favorite leagues to watch because of the great casting they had. Hopefully IPL can get another strong level commentator to replace him.

Wow, congrats to DOA, quite surprised to hear OGN picked him up... and that he has so many fans here. He seems like a super nice guy, but I have always thought he is lacking in the ability to convey his thoughts to the audience properly. I really hope that IPL wakes up and brings PainUser in to cast with Kevin Knocke now. IMO PU is better with him than DOA or Askjoshy could ever be. PU casting at IPL4 really impressed me.
Anything worth doing, is worth doing right.

I LOVE DoA!

One question though. I notice that even DoA refers to himself, by pronouncing his name as:

dough-A

Wouldn't it be much more badass if he pronounced it DEE OH A? I think that would be infinitely more awesome, just my opinion though.

I have to say though. DoA, if you are reading this:

Please, don't ever, ever change. I know InControl once said to you "you're too nice on your casting" or something like, he wants to see more "edge" from you, but please no. You're such a nice guy that it grew on me, and honestly, I think it's time that the whole bad boy image takes a back seat to the wholesome, self-effacing, likeable guy - and that's you.

Another thing is, I remember in an interview that your reasons for leaving Korea and doing the IPL is due to major homesickness. Would this be issue again for you, or have you found ways to circumvent or resolve this?

*EDIT

With DoA's departure, I personally feel it's win-win for everyone concerned, especially if we see the return of HD and Painuser(YEEEESSSSSSSSS!!!!!!)

I don't know about you guys, but I always felt HD/Painuser had this goofy charm in their duet that I kinda liked, even though sure, some things were a bit imperfect, but I think the boys would have worked those kinks out.

Doa's a decent caster; not the best, not my favorite, but he ain't bad. If he joins OGN, I pray he does well, and continues to improve.

Thinking about IPL's future, goodness, I gotta wonder who would best complement Kevin as a casting duo. ...Heck, who COULDN'T do well with Kevin? He's so entertaining. X-D TotalBiscuit, maybe?

Holy shit, TB would be amazing- but I doubt it. TB seems to be making enough content by himself outside of casting SC2 every night. However, Cats has a velvety voice and perfect non-regional diction, he'd work well with a really technical caster/high level player, especially with some sort of EU accent (for contrast). Apollo maybe? Is Rotterdam out of the question?

Failing a Euro QTpie, perhaps Painuser or Mr.Bitter?

1. TB
2. Rotterdam
3. Mr. Bitter (very close third)

Just if you ask me.

EDIT: This is for being Kevin's casting partner, mind you all.

so happy for Doa. He's a great caster and while I certainly don't know him I always thought he came across as a genuinely nice person. all the best.

I actually felt Doa did well with Moletrap, his laid backness is a good pairing to Moletrap's intensity.

There is always the free Korean OGN stream available if that's okay with you, not to mention the possibility of some casters doing unofficial English restreams.

Unlike GOMtv, OGN seems quite open to letting their Korean stream be watched and restreamed by foreign audiences.

I would say TB only because BitterDam is great for NASL, and wouldn't want to hurt one league's caster situation so much to help another.

I love his commentary during the IPL games... I'm kind of sad but best wishes to him in South Korea!
