Players that have >0 results tend to be less accessible to individual sponsorships, unless a company wants to be someone's 8th name on the list of sponsor shoutouts. Nobody even bothers listening to sponsor shoutouts for that long or looking at every brand patch on the player's shirt. ![]() This way, Xlord is going to be primarily representing XMG wherever he goes, and if he does well, XMG basically hits a gold mine (relative to their investment). If he doesn't do well, they still get some exposure from it, it's not too bad. And he's undeniably talented, so if you're going to gamble on someone, he's probably one of the better choices.

Except he was one of the most talented WC3 players, dominating Germany at a very young age and being quite decent at SC2 while focusing on school a lot. Now that he will play fulltime he might make a big impact. If he doesn't get the top results he is still a huge personality in the German scene and that's woirth something ![]()

oh my ixi.....i really hope he takes it very serious and works his butt off. then he could really own up europe. but the thing is that he is one of the slacker player types. he can be genius if he takes something serious, but also can lose his interst very fast and start throwing even easy games. if this sponsorship gives him the motívation he needs then we will be hearing more and more from him since he is a winner !

It's awesome to see more and more (personal) sponsorships hitting the scene now, it's just what we need to be able to play full-time and get closer to personal top level. There are no reasons to question this move from XMG in my opinion, they are doing a great thing by supporting him, and you shouldn't have to justify support to pro-gamers anyway. Everything helps, it's all positive, feel the love and be happy on the sexgod's behalf. props to XMG

I don't think so~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ I do remember there were a couple months were I considered XlorD the best in Germany, but outside of Germany he wasn't TOO strong. Not to take away from him, but he was never in a "top in the world" situation. He was good for a European, but in SC2, people don't care too much about that. XlorD will help the Euro scene, but he himself won't be as great as you think. That is my prediction. Either way, hoping for the best from this!
