He actually never practiced ultra+ling+infestor style, but after seeing Stephano play right before his match he was inspired and excited to try it out. He said it was harder than he thought it'd be. Also, Flash looked good during that tournament so no real shame there. That match up at MLG was actually incredible I was on the edge of my seat for virtually all of it. Granted I was in the front row with 2 super stoked BW fans sitting next to me but still that series was by far the best of the tournament at least from what they showed us on the main stage. Flash v Stork and Flash v Bisu was very underwhelming by comparison.

Because the BW casters also have 2 years to catch up with, compared to experienced SC2 casters. The SC2 casters are just the BW casters. However, they have received coaching and information from GOM-affiliated teams and players to help improve their casting and game knowledge. They are also said to be actively playing themselves.

The micro looked terrible for someone like him. But there aren't that many Terrans who open up with two barracks. (MKP comes to mind, but micro is not him). Korean chat is going nuts, btw. GSL'ers are looking pretty real bad now, especially from the eyes of BW fantatics.

But still, a showmatch vs ![]() Hope they will show great games and skill when they'll apply for the GSL itself, and in the OSL.

I think I said way back when this was announced, but this hasn't decided anything except that Kespa players can compete with the lower end of Gom players. Since Gom didn't put their best out (and since I only watch the "famous" BW players playing SC2 in proleague I dunno if they were best) all this does is add more fuel to the "BW PLAYERS GONNA GET YOU" vs "WAIT UNTIL THEY PLAY VS NESTEA/MVP/PARTING" I don't even think it proves they can compare with lower end GOM players, I certainly won't be taking any notice until they play against them in a competitive setting, which this clearly isn't.

At the time, I already knew that the "real" finals was between Soulkey vs Flash, but that was probably obvious to most people as well. Anyways if Soulkey is their Ace player and if Shy can do what he just did now, then I think Kespa players have a serious chance in the next SC2 only OSL.

They've always said that KeSPA players won't be anywhere near their level for at least a year. Hope its a wake-up call for them and they practice harder as well. I would be willing to bet the GSL players are right...

If your Code A GSL players can smash the BW players then there's no point sending out top tier Code S players. But if, and we just saw this happen, some BW players can beat your Code A players then next week you can start to send out stronger players and still make sure the games are fairly even. It depends, the gap might be sometimes wider than it seems. Players who stay in code A, and then get in Code S are most of the time smashed really hard back to code A. A few manage to stay, or at least to perform decently (like, in a group with huge names). It would be interesting to do this to see to which extent they're good atm. And later, if they can compete in the GSL.
