No offense to Morrow... but he hasn't been relevant at all so far this year and hasn't really won anything since IEM in 2010. It's actually kind of refreshing to see a premier foreign team pick up some new talent and not keep the same ol' boys club.

Now I know Morrow isn't America, but I'm tired of jerkoffs dumping on ROOT every time somebody brings them up (flair up). The reason Morrow wouldn't ever join ROOT is not because he's a "serious player", like the rest of ROOT isn't or something, but because ROOT recruits players based on personal camaraderie and marketable personalities. Often times, that even makes a bit more financial sense for a team. Or do you think Morrow makes more money than Destiny does?

He's been in Korea training, while maybe he doesn't have tournament wins he's looked impressive everywhere else that I've seen him. He demolished IdrA 4-0 (which you can argue isn't an achievement at all), and a while back his games vs Leenock were incredible. He's a lot better than most Liquid players, the reason I'd say he'd be a bad pickup for them isn't his skill, it's his race.

Removing everyone except Americans from the ROOT roster hurts it quite a bit. How about Quantic? Illusion, Hawk, State, theognis and Spanishiwa? Or Pyre, Insur and Axslav from i7? Goswser, Minigun, qxc and Trimaster from coL seems better too. Even LighT stacks up pretty well with KawaiiRice, binski, Caliber and Heavens. x6 has Suppy, Perfect, ThisIsJimmy, Ver and Mystik. Liquid itself has Nony and Sheth. EG's got Idra, LzGaMeR, Machine and iNcontroL. I'd actually say ROOT is pretty much right in the middle if you only look at the American players. Of course, it doesn't matter because Morrow's not an American. And penis-measuring contests between fans of different teams are a bit pointless.

This might be a random place to ask but - how's that Swedish pro-house with TLO, Haypro, Sjow and more working out? Are they still there?

Good pick up but really sad to see MorroW leave; i thought with Thorzain leaving, MorroW would see it as an opportuntiy to step up in the team and take the position as ace and superstar. I look forward to see who he joins up with

Edit: typo haha lol... first of all he plays Zerg, 2nd he's definitely not "one of the most talented players in the world" lol its not like he started playing 4 months ago... he is a European Zerg who is rather unknown but there are many guys in the same situations like him. To be honest I wonder why not more teams pick up players like Protosser. I mean managers can just ask their players if they noticed a few rather unknown players on ladder after playing tons with them and then they can research how good they are etc. Maybe some players don't want more good teammates on their team because they are afraid of losing their comfortable position within the team? I am actually pretty sure this is often the case lol. There are so many good players who are pretty much completely unknown but who give the top players daily practice on ladder and sometimes they are even on the same level like established progamers, they simply don't get opportunities to prove themself.. I think I could name like 10 players from Europe who are worth picking up, because they don't have high demands but are already on a pretty high level. I think teams prefer to pickup already established names because it gives them more exposure, as most sc2 followers have no idea who is good and who is not. In this topic for example more replies have to do with MorroW leaving mouz and only a few people seem to care about Protosser. I think teams should definitely concentrate more on discovering talents. Happy to see Protosser got such an opportunity, hope he doesn't fuck up! ![]()
