I think Koreans in general are just a little overestimated just because they're Koreans. Just because you placed pretty high in Code S once or twice doesn't mean you're capable of winning foreign tournaments. Not to offend anyone, but Genius, ForGG or SuperNova aren't players who just go and win MLG/IPL/Dreamhack. Genius for example tried his luck at 2 Dreamhacks recently and went out in ro16 and ro8. When they join a foreigner team they will most likely end up being another JYP, Zenio, Vines or whatever.

Now complexity have some 'salary cap' freed up with the loss of Nada :c perhaps they will pick genius up, it would give them a more racially diverse set of koreans then Edit: Totally forgot about Killer!!! Are they still missing a korean zerg.... perhaps I am just being dim.

Dude, have you never seen Korean drama? DRG and Genius will be back in each other's arms, reconciled, in like 20 episodes!

Fact: Saying stupid unfounded shit that is only going to desolve this thread into a flamefest is going to get you banned. Expecting otherwise is quite frankly, dumb.

Anyone have an idea of what actually happened?

I'm hoping Genius goes to Liquid or Fnatic to bolster my favorite teams. Wherever he goes he will be a great addition. He has so much personality and talent!

code S is the best of the best in the sc2 world and genius has always been consistently good
regardless of his DH results saying he doesnt have what it takes to win foreign tournaments is kinda dumb imo
i hope he has to chance to be on a foreign team and compete in more tournaments overseas

Doesn't work that way on the internet, at least not on forums where they have rules.

Genius, ForGG, and Supernova could all EASILY take any foreign tournament. Easily. Alicia just took second at MLG, and he isn't any better than Genius. Sure, the ones they've went to they haven't had DRG or MKP like dominating performances, but they also haven't been to nearly as many foreign tournaments as them. If Genius traveled as much as DRG I bet he'd have won a tournament by now.

Or you guys can just take it to pms On topic: How has he not been picked up yet? Or has he and we just don't know?

On Off The Record, Genius seemed pretty serious about having a problem with the way his team mates supported DRG, but not him.
Maybe this related :D
