That's at least how I see it, and I guess the majority of "the SC2 people" would agree. Also, your condescending tone towards the fanbase of this game is driving me mad. There is so much hate and arrogant behavior on display in this thread it's a shame. We all can symphathize with the loss of your hobby, but ffs cut the elitist remarks! | ||

OnGameNet plans to hold an individual level Starcraft II league in July. They would like to make it as open as possible so that anyone can compete, whether they are KeSPA, GomTV, and even amateur players. Seeing how BW pros were already switching practice to SC2 because of Proleague, hoping that OSL be kept running as a BW league along with a new SC2 league was just wishful thinking. And of course they would continue to use the name "OSL", as it is an established and recognizable brand name for OGN. | ||

The good news is, that OSL will be played by all SC2 progamers. The GSL just got competition for the most prestigious league in SC2. Maybe now GSL will try to up their production value (streams). I cant wait for this. | ||

OnGameNet Starcraft 2 League. I suppose you can still simplify it as OSL, much like GSL (Global Starcraft 2 League). Of course, Starleague is OGN's flagship league and brand name; there's no way they'd just drop it now. But it'd be nice. It'd be nice if they could do it that much justice and retire it all. The name, the records, the awards, the games, the wall of honor, the legacy. Just start anew. | ||
