You have to provide some kind of evidence/proof (screenshots/replays etc.) if you are going to accuse somebody.
Additionally, a supporting comment of what people should be looking for and when will be necessary if you are posting replays/evidence. |

Justification? It's not a justification for anything. I wanted to see if free hacking programs that work exist and if they'd improve my play or not, so I tested it to find out. Is that against rules? Yes. Am I a hacker? No, I play all my games fairly. What is this a list for? People who broke ToS once? Or hackers who currently do or have intent to in the future, hack.
If it's supposed to be a list of hackers, it's completely made redundant by people like mine names being on it.

I think you can figure this out by yourself. You're not a hacker but you did hack?
Please smarten up.
I'm pretty sure many people have tried hacks, then stopped hacking (a lot of bw oldschools known in sc2 now were hacking back then) but they did eat a lot of shit. If you care so much about your image, why didn't you try those on a smurf or something, or in custom games with friends... On ladder, people are used to matching against obvious map hackers, you were obviously gonna get caught lol.

It's not about my fucking image, sorry but im just getting sick of repeating myself.
I just want this thread to be worth shit. As a legitimate player, I want to know that people on this fucking thread maphack.

That's not how it works. By downloading the hack and using it, you become a hacker. The label is not shaken off just because you decide to delete the program.

They do, so did you.
What part of that don't you understand.
How the fuck could we know if you uninstalled the program?

LOL Scholera are you really trying to say that you maphacked to help this thread and to catch other maphackers or something i don't even understand your logic LOL. You totally (excuse my language) fucked up. That is all, you fucked up. Even if what you are saying is true and you really don't maphack , and are now trying to save what sort of reputation you might have with a illogical and ridiculous excuse, you and everyone else knows you didn't innocently maphack.
That is everyones excuse, "I downloaded the maphack I just randomly SAW ON GOOGLE ( I don't know about others, but I have never opened up google.com and saw any maphacks floating around, even if I search Starcraft or Teamliquid, it isn't going to bring up maphacks, maybe the maphack thread but you would have to be purposely searching for the hacks to find them )"
Please. Get real Scholera. It would of been better for you to say "i was caught red handed and am now going to try to rebuild what reputation and respect I might have, which was already none"
I have played you several times on ladder and I remember something fishy about you, I would get the replays but I am on a new computer now and you probably maphacked for a lot longer than you are claiming.
It is Christmas time though so I will say that I wish you the best and I hope you change, your mistakes are irreversible though. Time heals all wounds but this will take a lot of time to heal, so stop lying and giving excuses and just admit that you were in the wrong. peace.

If I said that, I'd be a liar because it would imply I hadn't already stopped testing it out forever by the time I saw I was on this thread. I just wanted to see how it worked, what kind of effect it has, etc, and I did. So now I have no reason to ever want to use it again. At least put a footnote that there's no evidence to show I have not indeed stopped after those few games (because there never will be any.)
And, if you really have played me a lot on ladder (which I doubt), you're just simply wrong... I know how long I maphacked for and it was for less than a day once. I wasn't "Caught red handed", it's more like I was turned in hours later for breaking a tiny bit off of one of the cookies in the cookie jar to see what it tasted like.

Well this is the internet, so you are guilty until evidence of the contrary. Not the other way around

Scholera, there is practically no way to keep a list of hackers that are *still* hacking, simply because there is no way to tell. Rather, this is a list of people who have hacked on the ladder at one point (i.e. making the ladder lose competitive integrity, ruining the game experience for fellow players), and thus are marked as hackers.
Your argument of "I only did it for testing purposes" doesn't fly, because simply anyone on the list could come on TL forums and say the same thing. Why would you trust people who have already cheated?
I've always wondered what it's like to punch my boss in the nose, but if I did, I would not be trusted around people, and I would be put in jail. I'm sure you're smart enough to understand that.

I've heard CombatEX only tried stream cheating once.

Difference is, he didn't and I have... you have 2 replays from the same day ( probably the same hour) and literally nothing else. And on that same day, I was also here to explain the entire situation. You guys cant make stupid false comparisons. The competitive integrity of the ladder is not invalidated by people who DO NOT MAPHACK such as myself.
Simple fact is, I dont' maphack and it's just stupid to have me on this thread

If you've used a maphacking program which allowed you to have a distinct advantage over another player (Regardless, if you've felt you played worse with it on). You're still considered a hacker... This is the simplest conclusion and response you'll encounter. It's a little confusing why you would think your excuse is better than anyone else's.
If you robbed a bank for fun and found out you felt guilty and returned the money. You still robbed a bank...
(It kinda feels like trying to explain something to a toddler)

LOL hacker name "IIIIIIIIIII"
that is going to be one hard person to find.

Dude, it's done. There's nothing else you can say that will change people's minds. You hacked. We all know it. Nothing else even remotely matters in this scenario.

Has Blizz acted on any of the confirmed hackers in months? Does this thread have any effect on reducing the number of hackers on ladder?

Even if it doesn't, it helps build awareness. Now when I hit these players on ladder (which has happened a decent amount) I'm prepared and can either play extremely safely or can scout for those 2gate proxies.

There is no feeling of guilt because there's nothing to feel guilty about. I simply found out what maphacking was like. That's it. I never denied it and I never said I shouldn't be banned for it. But I shouldn't be on a list of maphackers because I don't maphack.

You understand the fallacy of saying you don't hack just after you admit you've hacked, right?

http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/don't
I admitted to finding out if free hacks worked and how they affected the game and my play once for less than a day with no intention of doing it for longer. I do not hack because I do not hack. I bet 90% of pros have tried what maphackings like before, let me guess, they're all hackers right?
I've had a drink before, I guess I should also be on a list of alcoholics?
I don't want people to play me on ladder and lose because they think they're playing a maphacker when they're not and they play overly safe or something.
|
You also understand we have no way and/or reason to believe you, right? Safer to just label you as a hacker and play cautiously when we see you on ladder.
I mean, frankly, you should just be banned anyway.
