But it's true that TvP balance is a joke at the moment, and that's because Blizzard have this strange obsession with thinking that Terran having very strong early game and Protoss having impossibly strong late-game constitutes to balance. Just because the ladder win-rates and tournament win-rates look good. In TvZ (my favourite match-up to watch) both Terran and Zerg are strong at different stages in the game, but in the end both can get to max with army compositions that are balanced provided the proper control and positioning (vikings vs corruptor vs thors vs infestors vs broodlords vs tanks vs ultras etc). Whereas with TvP it's literally Terran strong early game >>> Protoss strong late game, nothing else. Terran doesn't have anything to tech to except medivacs, ghosts and vikings, and Protoss doesn't have any early cost-effective units against Terran bio-medivac play. TvP is obviously imbalanced, even if the win rates are even, because the game is NEVER balanced at any point, there are just extended periods of clear imbalance that the game ends in. | ||
