One thing that is particularly depressing and unsettling here is that a company is dropping SC2 sponsorship in favor of LoL.
There certainly can be some rational and logical business reasons for this, but it is very unsettling regardless.

How dumb are these Korean teams to agree to not sign these players? As if foreigners signing homegrown Koreans wasn't a big enough problem for them.

I'm talking about Korean teams agreeing not to sign these Koreans for a set period. I apologize if this info is incorrect, but that quote doesn't have to do with that.

ForGG needs to get picked up asap! GSL skill level player + consistently streams with 1k~2k viewers. Definitely valuable to any organization out there, foreigner or korean.

I have read all the info. How does it make me wrong? Why is it smart for Korean teams to willingly put themselves at a disadvantage? I realize some of the players want to reform the team. That loyalty won't be affected whether Korean teams are allowed to talk to them or not. Instead it allows players like Vines to join a foreign team without even the opportunity to land in Korea.

He's saying it's dumb for Korean teams to make that agreement as teams outside that circle (SlayerS, Empire etc) obviously don't give a shit and will approach if they want to.

The team disbanded and it was already DETERMINED they would not reform because the players chose to end it and go off to join foreign teams. what are you discussing? in general why korean teams don't sign players or oGs not doing it? because if it's the former that's irrelevant to the topic. none of the players would've signed to reform the team and the deal that korean teams wouldn't sign ogs players likely already went under when oGs wasn't going to reform

i'm sure they have by now....korean teams can't offer much. stc mentioned it in his gsl interview implying if he joined a korean team again he would get no salary and would rather join a foreign team like most of the oGs players.

He actually makes a valid point, while oGs was talking about reforming I was glad that these teams had agreed to not try to poach off of their sinking ship. Now it seems like a poor choice though as there are a lot of talented players just looking to be signed.
