And it wasn't even SC2 that killed BW, it was more casual games and declining interest. When esports get to the same order of size as regular sports we can start talking about having the same longevity as regular sports.
It will never get anywhere near the size of regular sports. Current kind of esports is just a convenient marketing scheme for developers and hardware manufacturers, as well as a few people running/managing teams that jump on the bandwagon.

If you say for me, no, im not a elitist. I have more posts in sc2 forum, I have watched more sc2 games than bw games and I use to watch MLG and GSL almost complete. sc2 is the second better esport for me.
But lot of people come to the bw forums spamming "Starcraft2 is ESPORTS and BroodWar is the past, Support it", you could say the same with LoL...

It's very difficult for Korean pro teams in sc2 to find large sponsors, this is why I support LG-IM all the way and hope if their players win more championships this year, more major sponsors will start signing the current sc2 teams.
Imagine if MVP wins this GSL after LG has just recently sponsored them, LG's competitors will see this and possibly decide to invest as well. I think this season's GSL final is a pretty big deal just for the well being of sc2 scene.
Without larger sponsors, it's more likely for a team's top tier players (like MC) to change teams and it's always very sad to see an original sc2 scene team like oGs to disband due to financial problems.
I'm sure oGsTheWind is a very hard working coach and hope things work out for him in the future.

Well, if oGs is truly dropped and the players aren't gonna try to get the band back together, I hope they let the Federation teams have a chance to sign their players. Would suck to see Slayers and foreign teams grab Supernova, etc. without the others having a chance to negotiate.
