I normally catch the VODs. I remember when I was an applicant there was an episode that dealt with contracts in eSports, it's probably one of the best episodes ever since they had a real lawyer discuss the contract.

  • New titles and game genres are on the horizon for IPL! What titles should we expect to see in the future? Why is the IGN Pro League looking to support these games? Also, should we expect to see new titles being tried as exhibitions at IPL? (Time: 09:30:00)
  • Will we see IPL add a PC or a Console FPS? Which FPS titles could be considered? Could a title such as Call of Duty be added to the IGN Pro League when new titles in the franchise are developed so often? (Time: 00:20:15)
  • Has IGN looked at Guild Wars 2 and then world of MMOs? Has David Ting had any contact with ArenaNet? (Time: 00:29:30)
  • Capcom hasn’t had the best past when it comes to larger gaming leagues. Is Capcom coming around? (Time: 00:30:45)

  • David Ting announces that IPL will be moving away from Pool Play. Also, the IPL will be offering more travel packages for players. What is the IPL looking to focus on by making these changes? (Time: 00:41:30)
  • How has David Ting’s life changed over the last year? (Time: 00:51:00)
  • In regards to the IPL, what can a casual gamer expect to see on IGN over the next several months? What can IGN do to reach out to this audience? (Time: 01:04:15)
  • How does IGN plan to “shine brighter” to show off the new content they will be producing daily? (Time: 01:16:00)
  • David Ting wants things to be a bit more “Spicy!” As such, Curt ends up asking “where did things go wrong?” when it comes to MLG. Also, why does David Ting compare MLG and IPL to Intel and AMD? (Time: 01:22:00)
  • Paradise asks David Ting questions from the community. Will IPL ever look at Bloodline Champions? Is there enough room for both LoL and DOTA 2? Would David prefer Call of Duty or Halo for IPL? (Time: 01:39:15)
  • The team says their final thanks to David and gives their shoutouts before wrapping the show up. (Time: 01:57:15)

Thanks Spike and Doom

David Ting is refreshing to listen to. I'm excited to see what IPL5 has in store for us. Also, the fact he announced they are dropping pool play? Oh man.

This week with David Ting in the show was very inspirational.

I really loved how he described IPL tournaments during the course of the years and how he plans on making it better in future events, such as IPL5
