If the NASL somehow pick up the right to host the nationals at their finals in Toronto, that'll be quite the coup for them.

No idea, but the CSL release said the National Championship bracket will have 32 players, these qualifiers give 8 spots, the CSL is giving 4, so that leaves 20 left to be filled, I would've imagined if it was strictly through qualifiers then both of these organizations would be giving more slots, because 20 left is a lot and I can't really think of that many other organizations that will be keen to run Canadian qualifiers.

NETconnet "sticky keys & porn" I was looking forward to this thinking it would be a classy event considering Blizzards involvement. Guess I was wrong... Did anyone think this trough? Toronto has the highest population yet there is one slot LOL, this is a joke for the Canadian qualifiers...[/b]

Interceptor group stepped up to the plate and will be offering a FREE LAN to players. How awesome is that?

How awesome is that? Stepped up? Please. There's plenty of people in Toronto that have been working harder, for longer and could do way better. Anyone could have hosted an event like this with one phone call. A little effort would have been nice for everyone who was looking forward to this especially since we only get one slot (that's hilarious for Toronto). So to answer your question, it's not awesome at all, that's my point.

So to answer your question, it's not awesome at all, that's my point. I have no opinion on the matter of who should have done the hosting of the LAN, but I do feel that you can't complain about the number of slots/spots available for Toronto. There are only 8 slots available for all of Canada, everyone is suffering a lot from the small number of spots for an over-qualified country. Be fair on that point, one is clearly insufficient for Toronto, one of the largest cities in Canada and multi-ethnic in both diversity and skill, but then again, some provinces are getting none and other equally big cities only get one as well. That being said, I think you are making some other very valid points.

I can also tell you that there will in fact be 12 already qualified players. These 12 were qualified due to their previous MLG, NASL and IPL achievements. You are free to speculate on that. Players are currently being notified, as far as i know, today, by those 3 organisations. For the last 8, i'm not in the liberty to say but that information will come AFTER the intiative. Now that this is settled, take a look at the sick roster for friday! I can honestly say, we've got some kickass canadian players. Keep signing up people! http://binarybeast.com/xSC21205071#participants
