On the Mac version, if I click the "Last changes" button in the log, I get info for versions 7.3 and lower even though I have 7.9 installed. Is this an issue with my install?

hello skeldark ^_^ I just wanted to inform you that my MMR got too high too after playing a few master players (despite me not being masters myself, only mid diamond) it jumped from 1529 to 1862. maybe that helps you narrow down on where the problem is?

Fixed with last version already. Was a miss-calculation of master bonus pool.

What do these spikes mean/indicate?

I think those spikes mean simply that you played an opponent with a much higher MMR than usual. Blizzard changed it some months ago to allow you to occasionally play someone with a much higher/lower MMR. I think. I have a couple of those spikes myself; however I've never played anyone much lower than me so maybe it's a bug.

if every white-filled square I get is higher than me, does that mean my mmr better than the tool thinks it is? 2 data points isn't enough and I know how butthurt this sounds but I'm just curious

if you look uder the graph you see:
gray red : Opponent filler point.
All gray are filler and no data!

You only have 2 datapoints about opponent MMR and both are high. However this two are exceptions!
You may think: its not likley that the only 2 good results are exceptions, but in fact only because they are exceptions they are good results.
You play right below a caped area so its impossible to calculate the opponent mmr when his mmr is in this cap area.
This two are on the edge of it. Right above it so i could calculate them. All the guys below i could not.

Your graph looks very clean! To clean!
I think you dont have many good games. You should enable the memory scanner.

You can use it without playing all games with it!
But:
-Make sure you disable autocorrect.
-Also you have to life with a lot of jumps in the graph.
-It will be harder to detect the diffrence between wrong data in the missing data.

He skeldark,

I love the project so I try to keep you updated. My graph has been spiking up and down since the start of the new season.

Here is a screenshot. I an earlier spike put me below gold but it went away and spiked back up to plat, now I just spiked toward diamond.

I was plat at ladder lock last season and your MMR calc had me at mid gold when new season started and i placed into gold. I'm rank 1 gold now, so it seems to be working for the most part.

Ah, that makes sense.

I will say that the placement match put me at rank 89 gold, which if you see after that epic loss streak, that 2nd loss was my placement match.

Your tool is very accurate! Now I'm rank 1 gold, so hopefully I'm close to being back to plat.

But ok at seasonstart. You are placed 700 points to high right now.
Im worried about the mistake you had last games.
Its to small! it should be 700 points wrong. Can be that they chanded the offsets!
I really dont want to calculate them again!
Please reastart sc2gears to get the new Lock Database file!

I hoped with the lock at the same time last season they finaly get their shit together and start the new season at the same time on all servers.
They did not...

Program in lock down until all servers switched to new season!

If they changed the offsets for longer than that!
With me quit working on this in future that is a good moment for someone to learn how to calculate new offsets.
