Hmmm kind of feel bad for Dear/Last/Shy/Mini, young players who looked like they had the potential to breakout in BW and now have to switch to SC2.

On the cusp of the emergence to stardom only to have to reset yet again with a new game. That's unfortunate.

Actually it is right here ... http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/viewmessage.php?topic_id=330806 and also articles about players retiring because they won't be able to keep up with the transition.

So one player tweets that he finds sc2 boring and that automatically translates to 'a lot'? I can just as easily link a thread which quotes flash enjoying SC2 and label it as the majority. Obviously not every BW progamer is going to enjoy the switch. However, to say that they are all going to retire is just absolutely silly.

Actually I think it is more beneficial to these players. SC2 is still so young and we have yet to see a real team practice. Practicing on KT is completely different than practicing on MVP.

I would be excited to see BW pros come and join SC2, but to be honest SC2 will live on with or without them. I feel like BW pros could contribute a lot to SC2 pro scene, but in the end it's their choise.

Personally I only got into Starcraft in SC2. I have watched a few BW games but I never really got into it. But I'm VERY excited to see what OGN and KeSPA can cook up!

I am not going to bother to find the articles for you because there were few articles which cover the aspect of transitioning to sc2 and the possibility of players retiring from the professional scene just because of the switch.

Why get in a discussion t if you aren't willing to supply facts to back your claim? And the more you post, the more it seems like the information you have is speculation as opposed to facts.

It's horrible to see bw die.

But then again, I think the best way to let it go is to keep the old teams. Old players, old rivalries, old storylines, a new challenge!

I eat my pants if he says the same in 1 year.

SC1 is OLD. It took 10 years to involve into the masterpiece we know today.

SC2 is YOUNG. It already involved from a 1a deathball vs 1a deathball-game into a more refined game (especially TvZ, with all the splitting etc). And guess what? The game hasn't reached his full potential yet. You can see progamers make so many mistakes. There is so much room for more micro, mutlitasking, strategies, macro, etc. If SC2 reached it's full potential at this moment, then I agree: it's not worth to sacrifice BW for this. But everyone can see that there is so much room for improvement...

Wait 2 years, then tell us again how bad SC2 is.

The thing is I am not the one doing all the arguments about them retiring and I have already pointed the direction and a hint that they will be retirement coming from the switch . To be honest I don't give a damn whether they retire or not . Get in a discussion huh ? People ask where am I getting the sources I post them in to the coach thread and it's my god damn right to do so .

Time to let go BW fans...... SC2 now faces a brighter future and will evolve into the game BW is today if not more. Really exciting news and I cannot understand how fans of e-sports in general are not excited with lame comments about sc2...cmon guys stop being bitter and face the reality BW had to die someday and now is the best time to transition to SC2!

Which is great actually. They got the god mechanics, and with HOTS everyone will have to learn the new stuff, not only those who recently switched
