Anyone hoping for HoTS to release in 2012 is quite the optimist. I'd wager it's gonna be Q1 2013, at the earliest.

Dam that op post is bad lol

sorry to be off topic, but that is some sick bad use of bold and color, haha

i never got in to a closed beta.so im not that exited about, but its gonna be nice to follow the development like in the wol beta.

Got in the first wave of WoL beta but I have a feeling that I won't have the same luck again. It will be fun to see all the new stuff but all the competition will stay in WoL until release so even if you get in I'm guessing the novelty will wear off shortly there after.

What? If beta is really coming this month, and all signs are pointing to that, then chances are it will release this year. The longest a Blizzard beta has ever gone was Diablo 3, but that was a whole new engine/game and even then, it was way above their average. Most Blizzard betas run for 3-5 months. As this is an expansion, chances are very high it won't go longer then that. That would put it at a late November/Early December release at the latest, and would be just in time for the holiday season.

I hope Blizzard takes enough time to adjust stuff for HotS. For WoL they overrushed Zerg mostly, Zerg being the race that received the least amount of development time. This clearly shows when compared to the well-developed Terran race.
This is their chance to fix a lot of stuff that simple balance patches could not. For me as Zerg this is mostly the Corruptor and the Hydralisk, possibly the Infestor with NP, the nydus worm and early game AA-difficulties the P and T have not. The new units still look promising.
I would have loved to see some more of the singleplayer-stuff in multiplayer (zerglings able to jump down cliffs, that kind of stuff). But I guess that's too hard to balance... and in WoL a lot of the Terran stuff was also single-player only.

This is blizzard we're talking about here, guessing that its gonna take longer then expected is a pretty safe guess :p

Can some of you guys who say "too fast" please back up your comment with your rationale? It almost feels you like you want WoL to stay as-is for 5 years before any expansion.
By that time, would even you still be playing? It's due time for HOTS.

y, hots is needed, wol is boring and bad, also stagnant

All the signs are points towards beta going live this month, which would make the game come out in November at the latest.

I don't think the beta is gonna come THIS soon. Remember summer 2009? Blizzard kept repeating "beta this summer!" and it actually started 6 months later (feb '10).

that shitty replicant unit better not make it to the beta. >_<
|
blizzard alreadeeeeey stated that the repli-cunt was removed as it only removed diversity from the game, not how they hoped... srsly only the name.... if it replicates there won't be no diversity in a radius of 5 miles

In the last build we heard about it, which is probably a build from early this year. For all we know they might as well have put it in in another shape/form again, and chances are maybe even something totally different.
I feel like blizzard will aim for a christmas 2012 release, I know how everyone is talking about it's blizz they take forever right now blabla. But they already cut half a year from goms exclusive contract to broadcast sc2 in korea to basically fight lol in korea, and it would not shock me if they would release hots earlier then usually just to put it up against lol in korea earlier. Anaheim is this weekend and given that the 1.5 beta is basically just a huge hots beta key raffle (it's not like there is anything in that beta besides global play that they would benefit from having tested publicly), I could see hots beta starting whenever 1.5 beta ends, maybe a bit later so people get hyped a bit more about 1.5 going live on wol.
I really hope I get in first wave, because other wise I'm probably gonna end up buying one of ebay, I'm way too pumped for this game and given how many people will stream it I don't think I'm gonna be able to be patient about this one.

the question is: who replaced the replicant?
