TSL_Hyun only played for a few months and got through the Code A prelims. We don't actually know for how long these guys have been practicing sc2 either, and they still have like 1-2 months to prepare if it happens. I wouldn't count them out too soon. And Hyun has pretty much lost any match he has been in since then. He has barely done anything. He would get stomped by anyone in code S.
We barely ever get to see Hyun play, but when we do, he improves drastically from the time before. I think Apollo said Hyun has been playing around 80 practice games a day, and it shows.

Not every SC2 player practices poorly dude. I hope this doesn't turn into some dumb sc2 vs bw thing but there is no way without significant practice or funky all in builds that the BW pros would win without quite a lot of practice. Will they learn faster then those who never played BW? Sure. Many skills go both ways but they wont win MLG with a month of playing while they still play BW. -_- Depends on the SC2 player. If it's someone like MKP or NesTea who can practice up to 14 or 16 hours then they will beat a BW player with less experience. But I believe the average practice time for SC2 players is lower. From everything I hear I think everyone can agree that BW pros practice more on average. Im sure there are exceptions on both sides. Would be cool to see some good BW players play at MLG(Showmatch tourney or in the real tourney)
ACE players only get 3 hours a day from what I remember so they would be the BW side exceptions.

rofl what? I wouldn't count Hyun out vs a code S any day of the week. He's top caliber even if he hasn't made a splash in GSL. And in a format that doesn't reward preparation like the GSL, I give him an even bigger chance.

I'm hoping for an exhibition between the BW pros to see who's the best currently. They're more than likely not good enough to be seeded.

Imagining a Flash vs Jaedong exhibition match in sc2 gives me goosebumps.

Should be pretty funny when it's gonna be two relative no-namers that are gonna play a showmatch :p Don't think thats gonna happen, but i dont count it out either.

Didn't MLG partner with OGN? So... with this timing... OSL finals in Anaheim?

Oh my god my head would explode.

His international tlpd has a 60% win rate overall which includes MANY no name players.Compare that to Jikaji's international of 70% against almost all top named players and Stephano of 67% against a mix like Hyun.
You really trying to say he would beat code S players? lol

Otherwise the "elephant in the room" comment in his original tweet wouldn't quite make sense. This needs involve the BW players actually playing SC2, and I think he pretty much confirmed it in one of his comments on an earlier page (I didn't save it, though).

However, it's been a while since they did Ro8 tour.

But if OSL finals aren't to be held in Anaheim... then I don't see flash going to anaheim then I don't see him dropping out any time earlier than that.

This is presumably a reference to Kennigit's famous thread here on TL called The Elephant in the Room, which theorized about how the day would come when the truly top-tier Korean Brood War pro's would finally cross over into StarCraft 2 and demolish the competition.
intrigue's not kennigits.

Well OGN games are always on a weekend right? So it directly conflicts with MLG... unless flash gets knocked out early... then we won't see him . Should I jinx or not? On the bright side... Bisu is already out lol...

You got me, Mr Adam, I'll come to Anaheim.
