I would understand if of the 9 casters: 2 french Of the 7 left: 4 standard casters of the 3 left: one or two?? for ascend of the one or two left: Host or something similar. CSL has their own caster team. WCS perhaps has their own being paid by Blizz on their budget? Then Im ok with it. But seriously Casters might be getting too much attention if there are more of them than players. I go to see people play not to listen to people tell me about who is playing. And don't get me wrong, I like NASL and I love the fact that they are offering us in Canada an opportunity to watch a tournament with these high quality players. But at the same time, the pedestal we place casters on compared to the players really needs to be questioned and criticised in my opinion. NASL is trying to solidify itself as a serious tournament and I can understand casters like Day9 lead to more online viewers and they need that to maintain their business. But still, as a community we need to make it clear and realise we watch for the players not the casters. Why are all the players in GSL and Korea so good? The players are idolised, even just ONE star player can solidify enough money for a team in sponsorship dollars to support a B team that only needs to focus on the game and not how to make enough money to eat everyday. I mean IM has two star players and a slew of good players. But the good player teams dont have as much money as IM because they dont get the sponsors, they don't have the superstars to bring that money in. Here in NA it seems like the team that has the most sponsors (EG) has good players but are able to monetise and create a lot of Sponsor love thanks to marketing. Which is fine its good, but if we had more of that without the need to be a personality and a focus on performing as being key then maybe we could support more people playing well. IF teams made the money most of the casters make I am sure that we could see team houses be more common in NA. If exposure of a team means more sponsors then what is better? 8 people playing in a finals, or 16 - 32 of them creating more buzz for their team and that teams sponsors. Im getting off topic now though unfortunately.

That was my initial thought, but I imagine there must be some French Canadians up to the job? I would quite surprised if Idra casted, after bombing out of his bracket, then forfeiting his last match, I doubt the league would then turn around and award him with a caster gig. Day9 and Incontrol both have casting histories with NASL, and they even feature Day9 in the finals promo video.

![]() The schedule for the North American Star League Grand Finals event in Toronto this July 14th and 15th is now available. Home to the NASL Season Season 3 Grand Finals, the StarCraft II World Championship Series: Canada Nationals, the NASL Tribes: Ascend Championship, and the CSL Canadian Championship, the two-day eSports event is packed with exciting professional matches. The venue hall will open at 10am each day to allow attendees a chance to select their favorite seat, whether that is as close to the front as possible or lining the aisles for a chance to high-five or fist bump their favorite pro gamer as players make their red carpet entrances to the main stage. Alternatively, other fans may wish to gather around the secondary stage where players fighting on the second and third streams will often be found if they are not in the player area. Wherever fans are watching from: whether in a seat, huddled around a secondary stage, or from the comfort of their homes, the schedule of matches will ensure there's always something exciting happening.

Currently, the exact lineup of the players at the NASL Season 3 Grand Finals is slightly uncertain. Due to the success thus far of Alicia and Puzzle in both NASL Season 3 and the GSTL, a scheduling conflict has arisen wherein the players might be called upon to compete with their team SlayerS in the GSTL during the same weekend that they are already committed to compete in the NASL Season 3 Grand Finals. Simply, if SlayerS earns a victory in their next match in the GSTL, the team would advance to a match that would conflict with the timing of the NASL Season 3 Grand Finals. Although efforts have been made with the parties involved to avoid this conflict, there is currently no solution in place that would either alleviate the players from their team obligations in the GSTL or enable the team to compete at another date so that the players may attend the NASL Grand Finals. Thus, if it is confirmed that the two players are unable to attend the NASL Season 3 Grand Finals, their spots in the event will be forfeited to the two individuals they defeated in the Playoffs: Sen and TT1. While it is unfortunate that this scheduling issue may or may not arise, the NASL wishes all of its league players the best of luck in all their competitive endeavors, and are pleased to announce that either way, there will be a 8 person bracket at the Grand Finals.
