Great content, really enjoyed it.
Good interview questions.

if MKP wins IPL he's the best player in the world.
but considering how that title changes hands every month, it doesn't mean much

Nestea and MVP each shared that title for a good 6 months

I always thought Bonjwa was the player who whenever they player was always the heavy favorite across the board and had a godlike record to back it up. MKP is not all that unbeatable.

It's like not watching the stanley cup finals and then complaining that the results are literally EVERYWHERE the next day. Shut up. The stanley cup is not aired in the middle of the night when most westerners are sleeping like the GSL is. People get up in the morning and watch it the next day. Im not saying its fine for them to come here before watching it, as TL doesnt keep events spoiler free, but to compare the 2 the way you did is absurd. Was gstl in the middle of the night for you? If im not mistaken, GSTL WAS IN AMERICA. Sheesh people will complain about everything.

If you think that 8 PM Eastern time on a weekend is late then I don't know what to tell you.

Not going to go into another argument about this but 'lately' doesn't classify as an extended period of dominance. The only player that comes close to real domination was MVP late 2011 but he's fallen off now as well (compared to then).

I would really like a mod to answer this. I understand he wasn't banned, but it seems like he was warned for having an opinion. MKP did look unstoppable in the GSTL, and while I don't agree that he has won enough for long enough to be called a bonjwa are we allowed to at least have the discussion?

Its not even a matter of record right now. Just look at his play. In every match up, he looks unstoppable. His micro in tvp and tvz is unparalleled, and he 2-0'd mma in games that made mma look like a scrub so that speaks volumes about his tvt improvement.
I mean have you seen him in tvp? He doesn't even need ghosts because his units look like they have automaton 2000 microing them out of storms. He romped curious' solid zvt in gstl with pure Bio, which you can only really do by outplaying your opponent in my experience.

I agree that hes probably the best player in the world right now, but if you go back 6-8 months, MVP looked as dominate or more in every matchup, he didn't really make mistakes. Many people were hesitant to use the bonjwa label even then, after multiple GSL wins, because it traditionally has been used for bw players who only played a few tournaments a year and were able to dominate all of the them.

I think people were always hesitant about MVP's TvP, just like people are now about MarineKing's TvT.
