As soon as we can announce further information, we will!

LOL who decided how many slots each country gets? Netherlands get 1 slot while the UK get 3? And a lot more strange decisions.
How many of each continental finals will qualify for the world championship?

I think they decide on number of active players for each country

MLG NA
We are extremely excited to announce that we are partnering with Blizzard to host two events as part of their StarCraft II World Championship Series (WCS). The StarCraft II World Championship Series USA Nationals will be held at the MLG Spring Championship – June 8-10 at the Anaheim Convention Center. 64 participants will be invited through a combination of qualifiers and the StarCraft II ladder to compete in a best-of-3 games, double elimination tournament for $15k in prizing. The top 16 finishers in the USA Nationals will receive an invitation to compete in the StarCraft II World Championship Series North America Finals. The StarCraft II North America Finals will be held at the MLG Summer Championship – August 24-26, location to be announced. 32 players from the StarCraft II World Championship Series–Canada Nationals, USA Nationals, and Mexico Nationals–will compete in a Best-of-3 games, double elimination tournament for $30k in prizing. The top players from the StarCraft II North America Finals will receive invitations to compete in the Battle.net World Championship in Asia later this year. Additional information will be released in the coming weeks. Spectator passes for the Spring Championship are available now. If you can’t make it out in person, then mark your calendar and catch the live stream. You can read more at http://us.battle.net/sc2/en/.

Each qualifier is sponsored so I guess it's how many the sponsor decides to pay for, Brazil has 6, whereas Finland has 1

no active player base.
What kind of criteria was used in deciding which countries would host national qualifiers?
We looked at the size of the active StarCraft II playing population. We adjusted the number of slots up slightly at the continental championship level when a country has a recognizable professional scene, but otherwise it’s just a measure of activity.

At what time CET does the games start Friday? Am I right to say it's 22:30?
|
Hopefully the competition will be better than last years Blizzcon where questions of the legitimacy of the MVP/Nestea series were being whispered before it even ended.
|
Idra seems to have been the only EG member to win in round 1, the rest fell Down to the losers bracket.
|
Is there a stream of the US WCS?
|
I was hoping they would stream for the start, but they won't for another 2 hours I think

errrr..the French WCS look weird. Almost none of the top French players have made it to the Nationals: Stephano, ToD, Adelscott, SarenS, neX, effecto....with only three qualifiers left. Will they receive an invite or something like the US Qualifiers?
Also DIMAGA did not try to qualify for WCS Ukraine
