I don't think there's more than 2-3 GM's from Taiwan on the TW/KR ladder. with Sen being one of them :D

Some people may just buy passes so they can play good players and have the chance to go to an mlg event if their cheese pays off.

Typically only a handful of ransoms join these, it isn't worth the money for some bronze player to pay just to lose to a pro. At that point just pay for lessons you'd get more out of it. I'm sure if the demand for spots was there mlg would open it up beyond 128 but I doubt it will fill anyway outside Korea perhaps.

They reached out to teams and offered them advance entry of two players, free of charge. Also, players qualified for the Invite-Only qualifiers are NOT allowed to play in the the Open Qualifiers. MLG really has thought this out pretty well.

It's not like Blizzard know who each account belongs to. I assume that the players are exepcted to disclose if they received two invites and Blizzard resolves it by asking which server they would prefer to play on and going from there.

I don't think it matters because they can only use one invite so there will be more pay places. I am also sure many top 32 players won't take up invites anyway. Who going to travel from europe to USA unless they already pro anyway

They simply sign on to their account and deal with the lag if there is any.

I assume you can. The point of the arenas and the qualifiers is to get a major head start in the Championship event, but there's nothing stoping you from entering the open bracket.
