They should play it inside a cage/octagon.

They should try to find some good caster, and take advantage of the occasion to promote their sponsors.

I know the community would QQ but this kind of betmatch would make so much money for a streamer. PPV for what ? MLG was PPV because they paid the players travels, hotel and stuff. Here it's only about getting these two to play each other while beting their own money lol PPV because enough people would pay due to the hype for it to be extremely profitable. Like I said, it's a good business decision. The lack of expenses only makes it more lucrative.

Here it's only about getting these two to play each other while beting their own money lol Someone should take bets and pool all the money... and then give 5% to the winner, and the rest to the people who pick right. So, if you bet 100 on Naniwa and he wins, you get 195 back and 5 goes to Naniwa. IF this were legal, it would be a way to increase the prize pools and create a revenue stream around SC2. You could even do 5% to organizer, 5% to winner and 90% return on your bets if you pick right. Would still be better odds than Vegas gives for any table game. I should stop.... corrupting innocent youth and all..... but ya.... SCBookmaker.com gogo :D And then betting scandals/match fixing happen all over again...

I'd much rather give my money to tournament organizers who'll spread the wealth all over the scene, than directly to already huge stars who can afford to bet 5000€ out of their own pocket. That's more money than I've ever had on any bank account, and I'm 32. To even suggest making this PPV is obscene in my eyes.

Another is because these two players are showing their personalities and passions, and I like that.

You are entitled to how you spend your money. I was just positing the hypothesis of if SC2 could take any inspiration from the boxing/UFC business model.

His mods confirmed but I'm glad he has as well. I hope it goes through with their own money on the line, that should lead to high levels of highly enjoyable grudge. This will be the first actual high level showmatch that has no Koreans in it. These two are the best of their respective races outside of the Korean scene (along with Thorzain) in my opinion.

Actually, the biggest showmatch in terms of viewership to this day was probably Jinro vs IdrA, back when they were the top two foreigners. So much hype went up to the event, all this fanart, crazy predictions, etc Would be interesting to see if this can top it

Crazy to think how clean and professional everything is now compared to what a mess that NASL announcement showmatch was.
