juan has a completely different mindset than kas. juan only cares about getting to korea and playing with the best players in the world. kas is completely content with playing the same five opponents every online cup.

he did get to korea and he's there right now. juan wants to play against the best players and he knows that korea is the place to be. kas stays at home and plays online cups every weekend but somehow that translates to him being a better player in some peoples minds.

And just being in Korea immediately translates into them being the better player? No. Kas has more to show for being the better player. Just because Princess is in Korea means absolutely nothing.

being in korea is the best way to improve. juan shows a drive to improve his game and train with the best players in the world while kas stagnates in online tournaments.

Yet he is still better than Major...

yes. juan gets a bad rap because there are so many tools in the community that believe anything they are told. everyone lambasted coach lee because a couple really influential people dont happen to like him. it doesn't definitively mean they are bad people. people need to grow up and search out the facts for themselves before defaming people. it's childish and does nothing to help our community.

juan is one of the hardest working foreigners i have ever seen and he is without a doubt the best foreign terran in the world if you ask me.

Are you implying that one series makes Demuslim the best foreigner terran? Because Demuslim has no tournament wins either.

For more consistent results look at Kas, Thorzain. Yeah even they are somewhat inconsistent, but that seems to be how foreigner terrans are.

kas earning money, can't hate on that.

also stephano is proof that you don't need to be in korea to be one of the best there is.

for the record i do not dislike kas, but i respect that juan's priority is to play with the best players in the world in the mecca of esports.

stephano is an aberration, i don't think there really is an explanation for him being as good as he is. he's scary good, but i am disappointed that he does not have any interest in playing GSL.

Ummm what has Major done to prove he is better than Kas? Major's biggest accomplishment is winning the Blizzard LA Invitational which wasn't filled with great players. While Kas recently took 3rd at WCG and 3rd at IEM Kiev. And those are just recent results that are way better than anything Major has done.

Give me one reason why? And yeah, kinda pointless as well b/c Major haven't been doing many tours, while Kas have. But fact is Kas is one of the best foreign terrans to date(until Major proves otherwise).

No, its perfectly logical to think that way.

Major or Juan or whatever you want to call him has absolutely 0 results in actual tournaments or games that matter. All we have speaking for him is hearsay and a decent rank in the KR ladder. Believing that these things make him the absolute best foreigner terran and calling any differing opinions delusional is ridiculous.

I didn't imply anything. I said demuslim has juan beat, did I ever say demuslim was the best? I definitely think Kas and Thorzain are better than demuslim and I definitely think demuslim is better than juan. I've seen the replays artosis commentated on in the artosis hour and him beating nestea but those were ladder games. Tournaments my friend.. have a lot more pressure riding on them and demuslim proved himself.

You didn't, I just thought it was odd that you used Demuslim as an example for a player that is better than Juan when they are both quite similar with no results. I guess I read too much into it.

My personal favorite piece of the article.

People are arguing that Major is a better terran than Kas..?! Hahahah. Wtf. Just because he's played in Korea doesn't make him any better than a non-"playing in korea" foreigner..

Looking forward to what team Juan will jump to next, and what name.
(with mixed feelings, he once again left a team not half a year after joining it, however this time he might have a good reason.)

You also need to calibrate your mind reading abilities, because I never treated this as ragequit. He is just following a familiar pattern of switching teams very often, which is never good to have on your résumé. It doesn't spark much sympathy in the general audience either, except for a few people who think skill and "hard work" is all that matters and everything else is not even secondary.

More GG, more skill.

So? Did he win anything? Did he show any results? No he didn't. You should grow out of your blind fanboyism (a sickness many people in here have, not only for Major but for other players aswell). Up to today, Major hasn't had a single success. The only time we hear from him is when he changes his teams like underpants. Nothing else. Where is the value in a player like that?

juan has a completely different mindset than kas. juan only cares about getting to korea and playing with the best players in the world. kas is completely content with playing the same five opponents every online cup.

but if major cant get to Korea and win a lot of stuff, at the end of the day, who will be more satisfied?

he did get to korea and he's there right now. juan wants to play against the best players and he knows that korea is the place to be. kas stays at home and plays online cups every weekend but somehow that translates to him being a better player in some peoples minds.

Kas is making himself and his team money, pretty sure thats the goal of most pros and pro teams in any sport, including sc2. While Juan is doing neither. Once he post results and get people wanting to watch his games then it will be a different story.

No, Kas is handicapped compared to Juan, please never say things like that, lol Juan has 200eapm in TvZ/TvP, Kas has 150 (using the Korean apm thing). If you watch Juan IRL you'd see the difference lol.

Kas is still really good and Korean players respect him. He beat MKP 2-0 at WCG. Also completely raped Zenio in groupstages then won 2-1 i think in a close series in the 3rd/4th place match against him.

Why does any team even want him anymore.

Because they are desperate and will overlook stuff that more established teams cannot afford to ignore.

Or because he's one of the only foreigners to ever make Korean grandmaster, and one of the only foreigners that actually has the work ethic to be able to compete at that level. He's a risky investment, but I don't get why he's getting this much hate. He found a new team, and x6 weren't that supportive of him staying in Korea, yet people are treating this like he ragequit sixjax or something.

yes. juan gets a bad rap because there are so many tools in the community that believe anything they are told. everyone lambasted coach lee because a couple really influential people dont happen to like him. it doesn't definitively mean they are bad people. people need to grow up and search out the facts for themselves before defaming people. it's childish and does nothing to help our community.

juan is one of the hardest working foreigners i have ever seen and he is without a doubt the best foreign terran in the world if you ask me.

just waiting for him to win a tournament... any day now.

I think demuslim has him beat, at least he shows results by ya know... beating nestea

Are you implying that one series makes Demuslim the best foreigner terran? Because Demuslim has no tournament wins either.

For more consistent results look at Kas, Thorzain. Yeah even they are somewhat inconsistent, but that seems to be how foreigner terrans are.

I can't believe how people like you can be so incredibly stupid and think that X player is better than X player just because he beat someone like NesTea in a fucking bo3.

No shit Juan doesn't have any results as of lately, he's been sitting in a fucking team house, doing nothing but practicing for the last 4 months. How can you show results without participating in anything?

Not to mention how ridicolously off-topic his actual play is, this thread is about Juan being released from his former team to join a new team which he got an offer from ALREADY.

Would be nice if Mods would hand out bans to people who are too dumb/lazy to even read the OP correctly or just come here to troll about Juan leaving a team or bashing his skill.

Yet he is still better than Major...

You are quite delusional if you think that is actually true ^^

Sorry, but the delusional one is you. Major is not close to being as good as Kas. Major can't even go through the open brackets of MLG. It's funny how people look at Major playing on stream and listen to Artosis hype and have delusions that Major is suddenly the best foreign terran. His competition results are mediocre at best.
