That puts the overall mlg season costing more than my gsl ticket! What a joke. I would perhaps pay like $40 for the entire season but mlg isnt up to gom standard yet!

All these people that are talking against paying are just being cheap lazy fuckers. Seriously its 20 bucks for a 3 day event. The same people crying about lack of quality tournament are probably the ones not willing to put up the $$$ to make them feasible.

Viewership will not be too much of an issue for MLG, if they can make $20 per viewer. On the bright side, this might increase the Barcraft scene.

Yeah, I don't know if I'll watch anything that weekend because of other duties, but MLG is the only event where I can get friends over and just show hours of SC2, with not a pause or boring game. 20 dollars is nothing, the snacks and wine that go with it will be several times more expensive.

I just cant see them making a profit off this venture for this event specifically. In order to turn a profit they would need something like 4000-5000 people to pay for it on the same weekend as assembly and I just cant see that happening.

I'm willing to give it a shot and throw down 20$ to see if it's worth it. My initial thoughts are that the extra content is going to have to be AMAZING to justify this cost though... can see it being more of a 10$ thing in future.

assembly will have live crowd, right?
20$ or not, i'm watching assembly. theres no way this mlg arena thing can match the excitement of live event played in front of big crowd.

I wanted to watch. Really. I wouldn't have paid 20$, but I would've watched free streams with lower quality like always. But restricting content for not paying live viewers...well, I'll catch the VODs, but live I will sure watch Assembly, especially with their line-up atleast equally good/entertaining.
