Also, I dont know what Hwanni's role is, but you can be 100% sure that fnatic have some major plans for their fnatic.sc2 team. I can smell the first foreigner team (fnatic)'s very own Korean training house incoming!

It seems pretty obvious at this point they were not being truthful when they stated they were not attempting to recruit alive and had no influence on him leaving TSL. I generally support foreign teams, in hopes of foreign teams performing better, but I'm really not inclined to support a foreign team who's focus is poaching Korean stars. I still like alive and hopes he succeeds, however I have 0 inclination to root for fnatic the way I would instinctively root for anyone from Team Liquid or EG or Dignitias. Also if people want to bring up TSL poor history of player retention, look no further than the wiki on fnatic for much lengthier list of "Former Players". The thing that really bugs me about "poaching" is that people's arguments always seem to ignore player's choice in the matter. Regardless of whether or not fnatic is great at holding onto players of thier own, it is still the player's decision and desire that leads them to another team.

Actually I do prefer the players to get what is best for them. However, the term "poaching" is often used too loosely. If a team is interested in a player, they should approach him and make an offer. If a players likes it, he should take it. Afterwards, either the approaching team or the player have to pay the appropriate consequences, in this case breach of contract penalties. Poaching, at least to me, is when people try to attain players through nefarious or immoral means, especially if they are aware those actions are immoral. Much like poaching of Rhino horns. They might know it's wrong and don't care. If fnatic believed what they were doing was not immoral or wrong, they wouldn't have lied about attempting to recruit alive. It feels apparent they were simply trying to dodge the attached penalties of a contract transfer. So to simplify, I am happy for alive (and every player who can improve his own life/career), I do not respect fnatic's actions. Seeing fnatic's history though, I am also worried about their ability to help him grow. Many of these players are young and the industry is not well developed, plenty of cracks in the system to fall through.
