EG simply cannot justify spotlighting them when they have players like Puma, Huk, JYP, IdrA. This isn't a disservice (although that seems to be how you're taking it) to them, its just not a good fit anymore. I think Axslav and strife are going to have some nice opportunities with smaller market teams who can give them more attention. Don't be so worried, Axslav and strife are going to land on their feet. They are both extremely talented but they no longer fit in with EG's plans. And if you talk to Ax and strife, I doubt they'll say their time with EG was detrimental to their career. Heh... that somehow makes me feel a lot better. I wonder why that wasn't part of the official EG announcement. It's not PR bullshit, it actually makes sense.

I think they'll have a buffer time to move out, like 2 weeks to a month. Or EG might let them stay if they pitch in for rent and help Beyond Gaming out with the monthly bills. I would expect them to be on the way out though.

![]() strife never really carried his weight but axslav was a hero to EG in many of the team league games.. if only he was more popular/vocal etc., he could have maybe kept his spot. Clearly being on a team like EG is more than just results, skill or potential; you have to be an ace in something whether it's playing (puma/jyp/idra/huk) or marketability (incontrol/idra/huk). gl hf axslav.

Saw it comming, as they only really posted any sort of result end of 2010 / early 2011. But, hopefully they find some good homes and continue to play. Still, I wonder why LzGamer is still around on EG, he afaik hasn't done to much of nothing.......

I digress though, as stated its beyond mere results. I believe that Scoots said on Lo3 it also includes media exposure, fan bases/followings, the cost of each player being sent to events vs the valued return, and iNcontrol specifically does a lot more for EG behind the scenes as the "Team Captain". I guess I don't share the same views as some that because of his results later in the year he should be vilified and removed from EG. Enough ranting. Point being is that Axslav and Strife are going to move on and given that they've both improved I hope they do find teams quickly and can progress further as players. Best wishes you two in 2012!

Scoots never fails to amaze me! :p It seems like he got the right answers for always any question! I think it would have been nice if there had been some statements from both the players and also from Scoot to avoid putting in EG in a bad light for "kicking out their lesser players without reason" in their news on myeg.net
