And isn't iNcontrol there for a short stay? Are Machine and Anna just living there alone now lol? Haha, things are gonna get awkward. But I think they removed Axslav and Strifecro to make room for higher caliber player. As much as I liked them both, I understand EG's reasoning behind this seeing that they strive to be the best foreigner team. The question is, who is going to take their spot? But which other "higher caliber players" from NA/EU are there?? i seriously doubt that any Korean would move from Korea to live in their NA prohouse?

Scoots said their contracts were up and were not recontracted, simple as that. Also to do with other things such as twitter fb presence etc. Incontrol may have bad results but does a lot more for the team in the background and also has the whole media thing going on, gets a lot of attention, etc. no idea why lz still there though o.o never noticed him do anything at all.

I don´t remember what team it was, but some weeks back while Axslav was streaming he was approached by what i presume was a team manager for some other North american team. He basicly just asked if Axslav was teamless/looking for at new team. Axlav replied that he was streaming but that they should talk later. Maybe it was RGN, xsix or some "smaller" team like that . From his lectures for Intel, to his presence on SoTG, to the commercials hes done for Kingston, to his strong networking within the community, his passion for meeting fans (didn't he organize, with Anna, a New years meet up at chao bistro?) whats not to love from a managements perspective. You realize that after sending him to HSC4 there were reports of German fans absolutely loving what he provided and becoming a big fan of his. His impact in the sc2 community can't be ignored. Sending someone who gives you positive exposure and media coverage is better than someone who gives you no exposure but happens to place a few spots higher.

Scoots said on LO3 that Axslav and Strifecro deserve more attention, and on a smaller team, thats exactly what they'll get. EG simply cannot justify spotlighting them when they have players like Puma, Huk, JYP, IdrA. This isn't a disservice (although that seems to be how you're taking it) to them, its just not a good fit anymore. I think Axslav and strife are going to have some nice opportunities with smaller market teams who can give them more attention. Don't be so worried, Axslav and strife are going to land on their feet. They are both extremely talented but they no longer fit in with EG's plans. And if you talk to Ax and strife, I doubt they'll say their time with EG was detrimental to their career.

Sending someone who gives you positive exposure and media coverage is better than someone who gives you no exposure but happens to place a few spots higher. This is true. Incontrol has carved out for himself a huge niche, leveraging his earlier ingame success from beta/2010 to generate a ton of nongame success for EG. Wouldnt be surprised that if you could somehow monetize all he brings to EG he'd be right behind Huk/Idra/Puma and leagues ahead of everyone else.
