Ok I've given it some thoughts! EG needs 2v2 players now right? Which 2v2 players is free agents and that plays on high-standards right now?
And as i mentioned before aLive could be a good agent since hes free. And koreans pretty much joins every foreign team atm.?
Axslav and Strife are good guys! played them a couple of times on the ladder and they both are high skilled players. I don't think it will be any type of problems for them joining a good team.
Another question... Which players are actually staying at the house right now? And how many spots do they have to fill in? Or perhaps they will just relax a bit and wait for good players to step up and maybe grab them later on?

What's the point of having the team house then? LZ doesn't live there...Puma, Idra, and Huk are in Slayers house...It's just Machine, Inc and demuslim playing there?
|
I think people need to realize at the end of the day EG is a business. Yes, Axslav and Strife are sick nerd ballers and have great relationships with everyone at EG, but overall this doesn't contribute to why they're officially in the team in the first place, it's about results and their PR ability and both of them don't have either. I can see the same happening to LZ/Machine eventually when their contracts are up.
All that needs to happen now is for EG to release LZ/Machine and get in ViOlet for an insane solid Line-up that can live up to the huge name that is Evil Geniuses.

Can't see i'didn't see it coming Best luck to strife and axslav!

I wonder if they plan on replacing them with non Korean based players. It's going to be an empty house otherwise. Or perhaps they're just going to focus everything on Korea, even if it's with some foreign players based in Korea.
|
Well it makes sense that they would cut the slackers after signing a real team, surprised it took this long really.

Sorry to hear this news. Axslav is one of my favorite streamers and anyone who watches knows that he has improved tremendously over the past few months. I hope they both find teams soon. I still heart EG. Its a business but this still must have been a difficult decision to make. GL to all.

I don't think we've reached a point were its a waste of space and money, but if it comes down to that, its a good thing the house is sponsored by beyond gaming.

Yea. I always assumed the house was for making their lesser players into top players, but now they're just cutting them instead. Seems like they should give the house a bit more time.

By this time next year, I see Idra, Huk, and Incontrol as the only NA players on EG, and the rest korean. I can see the EG Lair being closed as a result of most of the team living in korea, and they will get a korean house instead. Machine and Lzgamer will be cut from the team if they do not show some serious results this year. They have to be competitive with the korean players, especially since so many of them are leaving their teams and/or switching teams. TSL still has player issues, 2 players just left Slayers, etc.
By this time next year, Incontrol will no longer be a player for EG, and work as a coach/manager/social rep for EG instead. He will more than likely host/cast any further EG-hosted tournaments as well.
These are my predicitons.

they remind me of Crexis and Stratus in the old school SC:BW days..
GL to Axslav though. Really solid and nice guy and great commentary from his stream.

Nooooo!! Not Axslav! Seriously.
edit: wth is with all the teams, now spades isnt even in reign anymore. Which doesnt mean much to me but with the fact so many people are leaving or "parting ways" as they like to call it. Just seems off. Its all just happening too fast man!

Why is everyone leaving their teams?

Always sad to see a player leave a team, especially core members like these. I, however, can see why EG made the decision they did. Best of luck to EG and both Axslav/StrifeCro in the future. You probably should have left that part out as well. Definitely not a good idea to compare the two situations since people are already labelling you as a "blind fanboy." Well he kind of is. EG is the one of the best if not the best foreign team. TSL is one of the worst Korean teams and they're dropping players everywhere. The last GSTL begs to differ. Just saying.

Not only has Lzgamer been around for along time with EG (3 years), I imagine that he doesn't request as much money from his contract, and thus can post lower results.
At the same time, a player's skill is not the only determining factor. LZ has made a lot of appearances as a caster and as a coach, giving EG and its sponsors that much more screen time. I mean, even though Strifco and Axslav have done better at the recent MLGs, how many games with them have been broadcasted on the main two streams?

EG is in a position where they have the money to purchase Code S/A level players. I imagine both their salaries will go towards the budget for either the current lineup or into the Korean transfer market.

Noooooooooooo Axslav hope you keep up playing sc2. Strifecro as well! GL guys!
