I think that Khaldor's doing a really good job, and here is why.
Passion - You can tell Khaldor really just loves the game, he is legitimately excited to not only cast but to be able to watch the games that unfold before him. He goes above and beyond what GOM let's him do by even taking his own gear to cast the Code A qualifiers (the content was amazing - Player interviews such as Major, ToD, TLO, Cella and even Artosis showing up - Guest casters such as Cella, ToD, and Wolf) He also let's his passion flow into his casting, it's hard to put into words how he expresses himself into the cast other then it "feels good".
Personality - Khaldor is not afraid to let his personality show through in his casts. What an amazing thing that is! It seems simple enough, but very few are able to really express themselves and not water down the content or make it feel like they are trying to draw more focus onto themselves. He has good banter with whomever he is casting with (I've seen him do great casts with Cella, Wolf, and Artosis)
I say great job! I've seen great improvements in your casting in the last month alone and i'm always delighted to listen to your casting.
Khaldor's won me over, I've followed him on twitter and will continue to due what I can to support this great caster

Khaldor as a person was always ok, got to know him a bit in my days when i was in his clan inpanic in the old wc3 days, as a caster i never really got used to him but as of late he is doing a good job and i think he is good with wolf and the chemistry works well for them. they are the second best duo of gsl imo

Seriously, Khaldor and Wolf have been knocking it out of the goddamn park in GSTL. I don't know if they've been taking community feedback to heart or if they're just maturing in their craft, but I've noticed several times lately where I think they might have once responded to an event by saying, "X is making a mistake, why is he doing this?" and instead saying, "X is doing this, which leaves him open to Y, but I think he's trying to gain advantage Z." or "X is doing Y, but if he knew what his opponent was doing, he would probably rather do Z." which are presentations that are both much smoother to watch and do a better job of leveraging their knowledge of the game.
Yay!

Youre doing a great job khaldor!

Amazing GSTL this season, I love the enthusiasm you bring! *Expletive* awesome :D

I like it . I dont mute him like others

khaldor with his casting, cured the brain cancer i got after listening to moletrap cast

My only criticism (same one every season) is that you seem adversarial in your banter with Wolf (or whoever you're with). Slightly argumentative. It makes me uncomfortable.
Love your passion though. Keep working.

Khaldor is a beast. He knows what is talking about, he works hard, and by FARRRRR the most important part - He is ABSOLUTELY not afraid to contradict his cocaster. And he doesn't do it maliciously, he does it for quality or for a different persective. Some co-casters take it in stride like Artosis, they seem to mix the best.
To be honest at first I didn't like Khaldor too much, this was before Korea and all. The accent turned me off a bit and I didn't see much too him. Recently though, specifically this year perhaps, I have become a huge fan. He doesn't seem to fail in any department.
yea, I guess I think he is alright :p

I've been watching Code A unregularly but with 2nd season of GSTL I've been watching since day 1.
You seem to be very good at talking and keeping pace, and you definitely can hype the game up when it has to be hyped, and that's a great thing in itself. One thing I feel is holding you back a bit is your language. You're a native German, so of course English is your second language, so you cannot really be faulted for it, but you have a tendency to stumble sometimes and kind of lose track of what you're saying and you make a lot of mistakes that's common for a non-native speaker. I'm not native myself, but it just bothers me, I just wanted to give that feedback.
I'm guessing you realize this and in general you do a great job at GOM, but the mistakes just makes me flinch every once in a while when it gets too bad
|
Hey man, I love your casting. Sometimes you sound like John F. Kennedy when you get excited, and it used to bother me, but I don't mind it now. I appreciate you taking the time to keep everybody updated with code A news and results. Hope to see you more in the future!

At first I hated your casting...I am not really sure why, but now I like it alot you and Wolf fit perfectly my only critism is that you sometimes get so excited that you leave wolf in the dust and he gets this STFUUUUU face on. I am not really sure what you could do to fix it though either get wolf just as entusiastic or chill out a little :D. That said you do a SICK job with the GSTL <3 :D

mmm I don't like your casting. What you are saying isn't really going anywhere. It's simply repeating whats happening, and there are plenty of times where if you attempt to make analysis, it's simply wrong. I also don't like the way you stress on mistakes the pro's make way harder than talking about what they are doing right and why they are doing things. I guess after all these positive comments, people won't like hearing me say it but it can't be ALL positive can it? I am never muting any gstl's, but there are plenty of times where I am thinking "goddamnit khaldor, what are you saying..."

I have a feeling with GOM's track record of hiring baddies, every new person is viewed with hyper critical analysis.
Khaldor is a good guy, cool personality, it's obvious he takes his job seriously and has a passion for the game. If he can just tap into that energy and block out the people who over analyze things he can easily become a great English Commentator.
He is certainly on the road to becoming great, but like many people they get half way and feel over satisfied with themselves. That's all Khaldor has to worry about, imo.

I think Khaldor is doing great with the GSTL. Genuine enthusiasm, knowledgeable, and not awkward. He's a lot better than some of the other temp casters we've seen from the GSL. I wouldn't mind seeing Wolf and Khaldor stick around for a long time.

Khaldor you work so hard and i love your casts. Anybody who says they dont like your casts is trolling.
|
the most hard working caster in esports, you've improved so much since i first started listening to you... really becoming a top notch preferred caster... Youre casting at the Code A Qualifiers when you were just bringing in random people and working with them was impressive... You truly made TLO's run even more epic... not to mention gstl...
|
The first days he casted for gom, i didnt really like his casting at all (even as a german). But he has improved so incredible much that he is now one of the best english casters imo.
|
always liked his casting ability and how much time and effort he puts into Esport, but he needs better method of casting with his partner. just yesterday Ive noticed he didnt agree with what wolf said and went on with why he thinks its not etc, wolf after that had not much to say... im sure Khaldor is not disrespecting wolf, but at the same time Khaldor might wanna listen to what he said and say it in different way to make casting more smooth. but overall great work!! love ur casting
