Regardless of the points that I just referred to in the post above I want to thank you guys once again for giving me feedback and you can be sure that I will continue paying attention to the points you raise. You have to understand at the same time though that I don't necessarily agree with everything that people might not like about my casting. I will never be able to please everyone out there

Hi Khaldor,
I would like to provide my feedback to you since you have a thread like this, which I like!
In my opinion you have a good professional approach to casting, you seem to like being on the camera. You're smiling, sitting up straight and looking out at the people watching you. This may sound redundant to mention but to me this is so important and you're doing a great job at it so I have to say it. The casting itself is good, you try to be aware of whatever the players are doing and what we can expect the players will do in the continuing parts of the game. The ladder is very important, it's easy to be caught up in the current stage of the game and what is happening on the screen. Casters NEED to have a foresight and enough knowledge to give good estimates on how it is going to evolve going further into the game. Therefore I like the casting duo of you and Wolf best because Wolf has more accurate gameknowledge than Moletrap, and more than you as well. Don't take this the wrong way. You and Wolf compliment each other excellent in my honest opinion. Sometimes when you cast with Moletrap it ends up in too much goofing around in not always appropriate jokes. This is, I feel, because of Moletraps personality and approach to casting, so not much you can do other than maybe speak to him and try to get a more serious approach.
Finally my last critisism is that I noticed you often times repeat your sentences in the likes of "He's going for a baneling bust, he's going for a baneling bust and Curious is not ready". This is very minor and I can easily see through it. I expect that it is a filler instead of saying "ehm" and I understand if that is the case. If it is something you're aware of and can do differently that would also be swell! I have nothing other than that Khaldor, you're doing a great job. Really you are
Kind regards.

You're doing great Khaldor. I have been able to see/hear your casting visibly improve over the months at GOM, and you make the effort to get practice outside of the GOM studio too.
The only feedback I can really give (and others have said it I believe) is that you should play to your co-caster a bit more. You and Moletrap both seem to be the type of caster to get excited and ramp up the energy level in a game, but that can be hard to pull off together. I think, in that role, you have something to offer on the analysis side (and you have been doing more of this lately). Conversely, Wolf is pretty calm and quiet, and focuses mainly on analysis, so it falls to you to be the excitement. I think you've done a good job at transitioning between the two, but it can always use improvement.
Regardless, I think you're doing a great job, and you don't get enough credit for casting in a language that is not your mother tongue. Can't imagine how hard that would be.

great job so far. i think that you and wolf complement each other in a great way just as tastosis do. always looking for more from you guys at gom tv cheers

I feel you deny too much. Which may be a symptom of solo casting for so long.
If you watch tastosis they do a very good job of accepting whatever the other presents.
I am using accepting and denying in the improvisational acting sense.
Basically, if wolf says something crazy, then don't say, "That is crazy! Why would you say that?" You need to accept his setup and expand on it.
Denying can actually be quite funny when used sparingly as Tastosis do. Just don't deny all the time.

hey Khaldor good job casting Code S Ro32 with Wolf while Tastosis are gone! You two are really building up your chemistry and have became more and more professional and knowledgeable! Keep up the good work!
p.s. you and wolf really need to go suit shopping and get him a suit that fits! (Wolf's suit is too big)
p.s.s. you and tasteless too, lol his suit is too small
|
How did you feel about the teal ties you guys were wearing the other day for GSTL?
Swag or no swag? Be honest now

Ok, who was the funny guy who has swapped their suits...

Just came here to let you know that you have improved enormously. It's a pleasure to listen to your casting with wolf!

Great caster overall, and only one thing kinda bugs me with your casting now that you explain your criticisms more. This is my opinion though, and might be a plus to the majority of viewers.
I dislike when you say something, then repeat it again, sometimes twice, slower.
He's about to engage He's. about. to. engage. Heeee's. abouuut. tooo. ennnnngage!
I'd really like to see you teamed up with someone other than Moletrap. I don't feel much chemistry there.
|
You're doing a good job, but work on your accent please. I know it's a very stupid thing to criticize, and that it's probably very hard to change..but yeah..
|
I've noticed that your accent has been disappearing recently. It makes it seem like you are really working on it, good job! And your chemistry with the other casters has been improving alot. Plus, your in game knowledge seems spot on alot of the time, and I like how you're are accurately predicting builds and explaining reasonings to them. Overall, keep doing what you're doing :D

Hey Khaldor,
I see that you are reading this thread now. I've said it a few times, but can you avoid saying Creep slave and use some other terminology like Creep Queen. I know it might seem politically correct, but it always hits me the wrong way whenever I hear "creep slave" as that word means so many things historically and has a lot of weight. It seems trivial to use it in terms of Starcraft. I get that the queen is dedicated to menial labor but either way, the association bugs me.
|
One thing that bothers me is that when you start ranting about something you never stop, even if something interesting is happening in the game.

Slaves are a huge part of history. Slaves still exist now. Zerg as a race, is a slave to the Overmind/Kerrigan. Most species of ants and bees work with a similar hierarchy.
It's okay to be bothered by it, but you should avoid asking others to cater to you. He's not saying it in a way that directly attacks anyone or any _real_ race/species anyways.

My only criticism is when you (subtly) show your bias against M.U.L.E.'s.
Such as saying "It's 24 drones to 21 SCV's. But don't forget the M.U.L.E.'s" as apposed to saying "It's 24 drones to 21 SCV's and 2 M.U.L.E.'s"
Otherwise, flawless casting. I much prefer Wolfdor over Wolftrap.
|
Gonna be a little prick now and just point out that the pronounciation of "Xel'Naga" should probably be "zel-na-ga" as opposed to "ksel-na-ga", to follow the conventional way of prononouncing the letter 'x' at the beginning of a word. Like in "xenobiotic"
Other than that, absolutely love your casting man. I was watching Code S today and realised after watching all the games that I actually hadn't missed Tastosis for a second. Keep up the awesome work!
|
I just wanted to leave some positiv feedback this time . The cast today for ST vs MVP was awesome and you guys had a great synergie, much better than usually. Keep it on this level and im pretty sure ppl might change their opinion soon.
|
You've improved so much, you should be proud of how good you have got. I do feel that when your with a more analytical caster as a pair, you're really superb. Good job!
|
I wish they'd fire Tastosis and give us Khaldor and Wolf every day. I hope Tastosis isn't casting the finals of GSTL?
