In a minor and yet interesting news, Seo KiSoo aka Trickster/sSKS/Tester and Shin JungMin aka SUPERSTAR/Max will take a break from progaming and do the mandatory military service starting in Dec. 20th and 29th, respectively.
"The military service has been on their minds for a while now, as they are long overdue." Startale coach Won JongWook said. "In KiSoo's case, he had decided to join the military quite some time ago, even skipping GSL preliminaries completely. On the other hand JungMin considered delaying the military service, but ultimately decided to go." "Since they are somewhat older than the ideal, I hope they come back healthy after completing their duties." He added.
Not a big loss as far as talent goes (it is sad to see how far TricKsteR fell from his beta days, though.) but it's still sad to see them go. They will be missed.
Bit harsh for Startale, as July is doing his soon as well. But I guess they're gonna be teaming up with Quantic (probably) so that should help their roster a bit

Mvp is born 1991, so not really. Didn't NesTea go to the army back when he was a good talent in BW and when he came back he was to far behind other players therefore his career was pretty bad? I can swear I read something like this from someone on TL.
:\ Feels like we didn't get enough of superstars crazy antics in SC2. I echo the sentiments that trickster hasn't been amazing since the beta unfortunately.
Also, this topic reminded me that Nal_rA comes back in about 6 months! :D

Ouch. glglglgl, especially SUPERSTAR doesn't strike me as the army guy. Has July served his already too? He's in for some rough ride if he hasn't...
July still has to do it, I believe he said during november group choosing that he'd have to do it soon and november might be his last season in progaming.
Nestea already did his a while ago, part of the reason why he never made it as a sc1 progamer. I'm fairly sure MVP still has to do it, so does Nada.

yeah, when ur northic neighbour has one of the largest standing army in the world + nukes u kinda want to prepare for the worst

I would have thought that Fruitdealer would join the army at the same time Trickster did. I wonder if this means that Fruitdealer hasn't given up on progaming?
To be fair to SUPERSTAR he actually did well in his GSL October Code A games were not bad either(I think he even made is far enough to keep his Code A spot).
The army service is 21months in Korea, 18months I believe if you qualify for the USA-Kor army program(?), which requires getting a 750 on some test in English.
I don't think we'll see the end of these guys, I'm sure they'll still have ways of practicing right? hopefully when they come back, they'll continue their careers. Trickster/Superstar ACTUALLY fighting!!
it will be hard to see them coming back after they are done as they both are irrelevant now in the scene with Superstar never really achieving anything.
Good luck guys, though 2 years away from competitive SC is quite a long time. Given Tester has been off the charts since his beta successes, I don't know if he will be fit to come back to professional SC2 after being away for 2 years.
